When I think of Brit Pop a snarling image of the once monobrow'd Gallagher brothers flashes up
loud and clear in mind and I'm sure i'm not the only one!
Well today's post isn't about the creators of many a drunkards karaoke staple
but in fact about a rather jazzy glitter polish that costs a mere £2.50.

I stumbled across an Angelica nail polish stand while in Primark (Braehead) while shopping with my family,
I'm sure most of us with access to the chaos of a Primark store will have seen the odd beauty stand
in amongst the reduced socks and general brick-a-brack but this is the first time I have ever encountered
an Angelica stand n any store so please excuse my ignorance and lack of facts about the brand.
From what I have found online Angelica nail polishes will be rolled out across various Primark stores
in the UK, Penny's in IRE as well as being sold online at some point.

I honestly can not recall how many shades Angelica stock but there is vast range
with some dupes of famous shades which leads me to Brit Pop!
Multi coloured glitter polishes are and have been everywhere for quite a while now
and Brit Pop is exactly that, okay it is not an exact dupe for OPI's now redundant Rainbow Connection
but it is pretty close (and prettier in my opinion) and almost identical to many a beauty bloggers favourite
Technic - Carnival Nail Polish, only cheaper and slightly easier to source!

Angelica - Brit Pop is a mix of various sized glitter chunks, small and large
all of which are in every shade of the rainbow, it is the perfect glitter top coat
as it pretty much goes with any nail polish!

For a fairly cheap brand I can not complain about the packaging - it reminds me of American Apparels
polish line and I have no bones of contention with the brush either!
Three coats is all it took to build up full glitter coverage (removal is another story)
and one is all I used over my bright purple polish which is Nina Pro - Punki Purple.

I can safely say I really like this polish and will go back for more!

Is the Angelica brand new to you too?

Nail Polish Disclaimer - I no longer comment on the wear time as we all apply polishes differently (top/base coats etc) and as I change my polish almost daily sometimes several times a day due to swatching purposes I do not feel that I can fairly comment on wear time.
