Do not let your eyes fool you, this is not a ping pong ball
but in-fact one of the most delicious lip balms I have encountered!
A few weeks ago I mentioned that Balmi were on the cusp of releasing new lip balms
well they have finally launched and I thought you may enjoy a little word or two
about the newest balm on the block!
"The Balmi Lip Balm is a perfect blend of ingredients to give your lips long lasting daily care and protection. Perfect for even sensitive skin.
Our special blend of Balmi moisturising goodness containing antioxidant-rich Vitamin E, soothing Shea Butter and Jojoba Oil to help leave your lips moisturized, soft and super smooth.
Our Balmi spherical mould enables users superb ease of application when you are on the move.
Saving you faffing and fiddling to dip in your finger and contaminating you Lip Balm pot or tin."
Quickly I want to mention that there is five flavours Raspberry (which I have), Mint (which tingles), Strawberry,Coconut and Blackcurrant so I wish you the best of luck whittling down your choice of flavour!
If that is not enough for lip balm fanatics throughout the year there will be some limited edition scents/flavours, hands up who else is praying for a Halloween and/or Christmas flavour?...Just me then!
These will undoubtedly be compared to the EOS balms which I truthfully don't get on with,
I found the EOS balms to dry my lips out and irritate the skin around my mouth but so many do love them
so I have come to the conclusion much like Anthony Agogo "I've got a sensitive mouth, alright"!
Admittedly the packaging is similar (however I do enjoy the little key chain option that the Balmi balm features) but I have found the Balmi formulation to be softer and as a result not as drying on my lips.
The scent/flavour I have been trailing is the truly yummy Raspberry ( I hate Raspberries so it's bizarre that I like this version) formula which smells exactly like Raspberry Ripple ice-cream!
It comes presented within a pink silicone sphere that is easy to use and grip and as you don't have to dip
your fingers within the pot it is one of the more hygienic balms on the current market.
As mentioned the balm is fairly soft which allows it to glide on with ease, it is fairly light in formula
but instantly softens and hydrates the lips with a sweet fragrance and light sheen.
For me this type of balm is great for the summer as my lips only need hydration but come the cooler
months I do require a medicated lip product as I have a terrible habit of licking my lips in the wind.
Oh and this product is vegan/vegetarian friendly and has not been tested on animals!
So what do we think? Is this something you would like to try?
Balmi Lip Balms* cost £4.99 each and are out now in a large selection of Boots stores,
for more information and stockists visit Balmi's website - link.
I have to admit, I want this purely for the packaging and that fact I never managed to get hold of the EOS balm. I think the scent I will go for will be the coconut or maybe mint.

I vote for coconut :)
DeleteYay! I'm so glad these are available to buy now, I must check out my local Boots to see if they have them in stock. I don't like raspberry scented or flavoured products either so I'm wondering if I'll like this one but I deffo want the mint and strawberry...and if there'll be limited edition versions this could become an expensive habit :-/

Hopefully there will be testers so you can have a little sniff :)
DeleteI'm going to try and get coconut next...yes gosh I hope the L.E's aren't too frequent or like you said i'll end up broke haha!
Ooooo I totally will be buying one if not all of theseee!!
ReplyDeleteI'm debating a few more too :)
Deletedo they have an spf?
ReplyDeleteI never though of the hygiene issue with some lip bams ever!!

Yes an SPF 15 :) yeah me neither!
DeleteCannot wait to get my hands on one of these! I really need a lip balm that actually does moisturise for the whole day!

What scent do you have your eye on?
DeleteI think they're a bit pricey for a lip balm, but I do find that vaseline or chap sticks make my lips worse, so maybe I should splash out and give it a try!
ReplyDeleteHx
I'm not a fan of vaseline either, maybe treat yourself to one :)
DeleteThese delicious!
ReplyDeletehttp://laurenlovesmakeupxoxo.blogspot.co.uk/
They really are!
DeleteAre these natural? The thing I love about the EOS balms is that they are x
ReplyDeleteI don't think so, I agree but I found them so drying sadly.
DeleteI had the lemon one and was so disappointed.
That is a shame, perhaps the fact it was citrus was a bad factor?
DeleteThey look a lot like the eos lipbalms. I want to try these ones! Looks delicious haha
ReplyDeleteHaha don't they just :)
DeleteI think I want them all!
ReplyDeleteDitto!!
DeleteYay, an alternative to EOS lipbalms! Its so hard to get hold of the EOS ones here in the UK and i am looking forward to trying these out. I do own a couple of the EOS balms but i do not rate their moisturising properties and felt dissapointed with the quality of the product after reading so many hypes for this product. It is very convenient to apply, but the novelty soon wears off and i go back to my trusty Nivea to hydrate my lips. I would love to give these a try and i think the price of these are reasonable. Thanks for sharing and reviewing xoxo

I felt exactly the same way, I had so much hope for the EOS balms and yet I found them drying. If you get one let me know how you get on :)
DeleteI love the EOS lip balm and was so excited when I found out these were being launched in the UK.However I looked into the ingredients and unlike the EOS balm, these are not petrolateum free... So let's see, I might try them all the same, but the EOS ones seem to me more natural and chemical free. xx
ReplyDeleteI see where you are coming from, if you do test one I'd love to hear your thoughts as I think I may be allergic to the EOS balms.
DeleteDefinitely going to grab one of these when they're released!

I've never tried their lip balm yet but I've been very interested in them...they look like lychee!!
ReplyDeletehttp://nicoleintokyo.blogspot.jp/
Yes that is exactly what they look like :)
DeleteI wish we could get this in the US, I'm just like you, I don't find the EOS balms to be moisturizing (yet I've acquired 4 of them...), they're almost a bit too waxy for my taste! Plus these sound like they have such lovely flavors, blackberry is making my mouth water haha!
ReplyDeletexx
Hmm, not sure why "blackberry" is linked?!
Delete4 holy moly you are optimistic haha :) I will pick up blackberry next and let you know how I get on! It's skim links I have no control over what it links sadly, sorry about that!
DeleteO_o I LOVEEEEEEEEEE! I wanted to try EOS but my lips are always so dry... If you say they can dry them more, I feel I'm not ordering by ebay... Maybe I'll try to find this :) Thank you :D
ReplyDeleteIf I can find these at the weekend I will pick you one up too :)
DeleteAwww the pictures look fabulous!! Really eager to try these!
