so when I was contacted by the lovely Sally who owns a small make-up line called Beautylush Co
I jumped at the chance to try a few products.
Beautylush Co offer two different eyeshadow formulas pressed and loose pigments
as much as I love the shades available in pigment form it is just more practical for me (and my furniture)
to go with the pressed formula when offered the option.
The cool thing about the Beautylush Co packaging is that it is branded with the Beautylush logo
which is pretty rare amongst the smaller indie brands...the devil is in the detail after all.
In all honesty the packaging reminds me a little of the new Urban Decay pans for the custom palettes,
the packaging is sturdy well made and rather pretty.
Beautylush Co's Rose Gold is a light orange toned bronze with a hint of pink,
I have to stress that no matter what I did with my camera it refused to show the true shade swatched
so I gave up but rest assured the shade does have a light pink glimmer to it giving you the Rose Gold effect.
I don't really own anything similar to this shade most shades that are some what similar
lack the rose tint so I guess this makes Rose Gold pretty special.
As with the other two shades I tested this has a metallic finish that is free from glitter.
I would say that Rose Gold is a fairly universal shade as should suit most skin tones
despite it being warm toned.
All of the Beautylush eyeshadows are hand pressed - something about this statement makes me happy
it just seems less soulless than a machine doesn't it?
Rose Gold as mentioned is a metallic shade and is butter soft to the touch with next to no fall out,
it applied and blended with ease with a high level of colour pay off.
When it came to wear time I found this shade to last for around 6 hours without a primer
before it creased on my oily lids but with a primer it lasted closer to the 8 hour mark.

What a great find, Adrienne! Do you think this compares to MAC Woodwinked? Your swatches reminded me a lot of Woodwinked, which is my all-time favourite eyeshadow.
