This little hot pink tub has caused quite the stir in the beauty world recently,
all my local Bourjois stands have been wiped clean of these!
According to my local Superdrug they can't keep them on the shelves for longer than an hour
however I struck lucky as I entered the shop just as the assistant was stocking the shelf and nabbed one!
Basically Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover is a tub with a sponge inserted inside
that has been soaked in nail polish remover - it has a nice scent almost berry like and as chemical as most.
The sponge has a slit that you pop a finger inside -
twist and remove in theory your nail polish should be gone.
However some polishes are more trickier to remove than others and may require more than one attempt.
The sponge is soft but firm enough to remove most polishes with ease and is great for quick removal.
This is not a new concept to me as I have had similar polish removers in the past,
just none smelt quite as nice as this did - once dry of course.
As each tub costs £4.99 you are going to want to get as much use out of this as possible
so should your sponge dry out (it will eventually) just top up the pot with some nail polish remover
and you are good to go once more.
Final Thoughts - Quick effective removal of nail polish that does have a pleasant scent
but a little pricey for what it is.
£4.99/75ml available from Superdrug stores and Boots - link
I don't think I'll be investing! My cotton pads and Boots own polish remover work just fine for me. Then again, I only wear creme finish polishes!xx
ReplyDeleteIf it ain't broke don't fix it :)
DeleteI actually love this so much hehe! <3 it does smell really nice
ReplyDeletei find it only smells nice once it drys in but when its wet it smells so nail varnish-y strong haha xx
Agreed when wet it is strong haha :) it's great just a bit steep for a nail polish remover.
DeleteI've been tempted to pick this up to see how it is with glitter polishes! xo
ReplyDeleteApparently no quicker than normal polish :(
DeleteI have it and it takes glitter polish off eventually....but no faster than normal pads. x
ReplyDeleteThat kinda sucks I hoped it would have been a little speedier :(
DeleteI've been using nail polish dips for quite a few years now, and i've never looked back! :D I just keep re-using my original bottle now.
ReplyDeletePlease take a look at my DIY nail polish remover post if you want to give it a try. :)

That is the best way to do it :)
DeleteI love this I brought it from Boots thinking I would have to go on a mad hunt but they had one there first time lucky.
ReplyDeleteJust to let you know there is a tiny error on your listing 'just none smelt quick as nice as this did.'
I hope you don't mind me pointing it out and I am honestly pointing it out in a friendly way nothing else :o)
x
You are so lucky :) do you like it?
DeleteOf course I don't mind thank you for drawing that to my attention :)
Yeah I do I keep it my bag as I am always doing my nails at my work desk its so handy. I have used similar ones before but this is defo better
Delete:o) no worries just pleased it came across the right way xx
Ah that is a clever idea :) of course it did :) I don't take offence to people pointing out grammar or spelling corrections happens to the best of us...some more than others cough cough me haha :)
DeleteWould love to try this out as it seems a fun way to do a boring task!! xx
ReplyDeleteSo true :)
DeleteI just bought it today , Cant wait to give it a try !
ReplyDeleteI hope you like it :)
DeleteI would love to actually see you try thiss out, for real results so we can all see the photos!? :) xox
ReplyDeleteMaybe if I did a video demo? would that help? :)
DeleteReally want to get this but debating whether it's actually worth the money... :(
ReplyDeleteHonestly depends how happy you are with normal polish removal, I won't lie this is quicker and less messy but a fiver for nail polish remover is pretty steep.
DeleteI love it!! I use it all the type and is so easy and fast! thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you like it :)
DeleteQuite interesting about the glitter as I have seen some reviews claiming that it removes it instantly, thanks for your honest thoughts :-). I actually got this and am loving it so much, it makes removing so much quicker easier especially mid mani if I make a mistake I can whip it off and start again without making a mess of other nails faffing around with a pad etc. To me personally I think its a pretty reasonable price but that all depends on how long it lasts, I like the idea of topping it up with a generic remover though.

Last night I painted my nails in various glitter polishes, chunky, fine and all that is in-between and can honestly say it didn't remove it much quicker than normal nail polish remover, maybe a little quicker but still quite a bit of effort required, normal polish is a breeze though :) I agree for mid mani it is a life saver :) if it dries out quickly I shall report back...hope this helps a little :)
Deletei havent tried this yet but am so eager to do so! i change my nail polish alot and if there is a polish remover available to speed up the process of removal, im all for it. hope it removes glitter too!

You shall love this then :) it does remove glitter just not much quicker than normal.
DeleteI managed to pick up one today as my local Boots finally stocked it! And there was only 2 left so I grabbed one immediately without even looking at the price. I agree it is quite expensive :( I hope it is worth it. I've only ever used standard bottles of nail polish removers so def am very excited to try it :) x
