Now strictly speaking the products I am about to write about aren't actually failures in terms of product
but more my bone of contention is with the shades.
Not much really upset me in product failures this month so I don't have much to write about.
Revlon Lip Butters in Sugar Frosting and Crème Brulee
Both shades were the wrong side of flattering for my personal tastes
however on the right person I would imagine these shades to be delightful?
Shades not so hot but the formula gets a stubby thumbs up from me.
Mavala Cancun Nail Polish
Seldom you will ever see me say I dislike a peach shade, I simply can't bring myself to
yet the more I see this shade the more I see old ladies at a church tea morning selling Rice Krispy cakes.
I have no idea why I now associate this shade with church going O.A.P's but I do...
the power of the imagination eh?
Maybelline 24hr Color Tattoo Eyeshadow in Turquoise Forever
The formula of these little pots of cream eyeshadow are simple amazing
but this bright aqua shade just isn't for me, it's a little to garish and bold
but yet again on the right person I can imagine this to be show stopping.
So what will you be banishing to the beauty bin this month?
It's so annoying when colours look amazing but don't suit your own skin tone, I love both turquoise and coral shades but they can be so hit and miss!

I really couldn't agree more :)
DeleteHaha, I always make the connection of pearly light coloured nails to old ladies... Don't know why! Would you believe, I'll be banishing my 130 brush from Mac- even thinking about selling it! :(
ReplyDeleteHaha glad i'm not alone! Aww why don't you like it?

Will check it out thanks!
Deletewelcome !
Deletehave that allot also, buying the wrong shade and the hardest of it , is not having someone to give it to as a gift or a way to sell it so is a practical waste of money
ReplyDeleteIt's a horrid feeling isn't it, luckily I have people to pass mine on to or I'd feel even worse!
DeleteI hate frost shades of lipstick, pale colours make me look like I'm a ghost ha-ha! I can't wear coloured eyeshadow either, I just think I look like an 11 year old! I have to stick to neutral shades and black and brown! xx
ReplyDeleteHaha oh god I can relate to that haha :)
DeleteI know what you mean about shades... it's a particular shame the products have such a lovely formula too..

Couldn't agree more oh well onwards and upwards :)
DeleteI love the revlon lip butters but I have a hard time wearing creme brulee as well. The lip butters that AREN'T shimmery really seem to highlight any lines I have in my lips and creme brulee does so the most of the bunch!
ReplyDeleteI agree creme brulee is not a flattering choice at all but I seem to have more problems with the shimmer ones than the gloss ones haha! We are opposites :)
DeleteI didn't like the lip butters =( was well disappointed.

Aww that's a shame what didn't you like?
DeleteI am obsessed with color tattos
ReplyDeleteI got the Color tatoo in turquoise forever this afternoon and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna love it. Bright color can be frightening though. What about putting it on the lower lash line with a nude eyeshadow on the lid ?
ReplyDeleteWhaa. I liked Marvala Cancun but I understand why you didn't. Have you considered using the color tattoo as a liner? Or a waterline color? I didn't buy anything new in March so no throwaways for me. My ban is over though and i've already hauled...a few times...8D;
