I was advised that a gentle daily exfoliation would slough off dead skin cells
to reveal brighter and more radiant skin.
Great in theory but a lot of products are simply too harsh for my sensitive skin
and make it far worse than a bout of dullness!
I was sent Purity Facial Exfoliator Deep Pore Cleanser to test out
not only is 99% natural, fragrance free, eco friendly and not tested on animals
but it helps to rid the pores of excess oil and give them a thorough cleanse without stripping the skin,
great for those like I who have enlarged problematic pores and skin!
Purity Facial Exfoliator Deep Pore Cleanser is a concoction of coconut shell, coconut oil,
sweet almond oil and aloe vera that work together to gently buff away dead skin cells to
reveal brighter and more clearer, softer skin.
As mentioned the product is fragrance free so if coconut is not your thing you need not worry.
The scrub itself is gritty as to be expected but really gentle on the skin,
I have used it daily for over a month now and have not encountered any redness nor breakouts.
I found it to gently soften my skin and it has helped to make the pores on my cheeks less visible.
However the best aspect for me is the reduction of oil, since using this my t-zone has seemed
much less oily and as a result pretty much shine free which is rather pleasing.
If you have oily skin and are looking for a scrub to soften, brighten and deep cleanse
then I really can not recommend this enough.
If you have normal to dry skin I do still recommend this but perhaps not on a daily basis
as that may be a little to intense for your skin type.

Wow sounds impressive, can't believe it's scent free though, it sounds like itd smell gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean I thought it would smell of coconut but nope completely scent free which is a relief as some scented products turn me into a spotty monster haha!
Deleteawww im sorry to hear your sensitive skin makes you break out! :( id love to send over a scrub that is natural and is for oily skin. let me know if you like. :)
ReplyDeleteaww you are so sweet but honestly do not go to any trouble for me :)
DeleteIt sounds like an amazing product! However, I'm not a fan of daily exfoliation, my (combination) skin tends to get irritated after doing that for about a week; for me, exfoliating twice a week seems to be the perfect routine.
ReplyDeleteThat's great that you listen to and know your own skin :)
Deleteif twice works for you then there really is no need to up it :)
i'm hoping to do it every second day as my skin has really improved so I don't feel the need for daily either :)
i'm due for an exfoliator but i do have dry skin, would this still be okay for weekly use? and do you use it with an exfoliating brush or just simply with your fingers?
ReplyDeletethis seems perfect, natural and not tested on animals! that's rare these days, besides lush of course (the link doesn't work by the way)
Yes completely fine for weekly use :)
DeleteI use my fingers as I find a brush a little harsh but it would work just as well if that is your chosen method.
ah thank you I'm having terrible trouble with my links on blogger!
This sounds so nice, I enjoy using a scrub everyday but most of them were too harsh and left me with irritated skin then I found one by Kruidvat (german apparently) and it was so gentle but it cleaned my skin without leaving any redness! The purity one sounds very similar though mine was minty!
ReplyDeletewow so tempted to try this out! sounds amazing. i'd do anything to reduce my very oily t-zone and enlarged pores on my cheeks! <3
ReplyDeleteFrom the pictures, i'm reminded of the Green Tea Cleanser neutrogena does. It's supposed to be gentle but it has camphor or menthol or something that leaves a (perhaps too strong?) tingling on my face.
