Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr Eyeshadow are fairly new to the make-up market,
where they have launched they have caused quite the storm with many shades selling out temporarily
sadly such product has yet to hit the U.K shores and if the Maybelline U.K Facebook page
is anything to go by the are not in any rush if any to release them in Britain...typical!

The packaging is very akin to the Mac Paint Pots - transparent thick jar with a screw on black lid.
I'm not entirely sure if the jar is plastic or glass but either way it is sturdy and does the job
just ensure you keep the lid firmly screwed on in order to not alone the product to dry out.
I do think the packaging is misleading as the base acts like a magnifying glass,
giving the illusion that their is more product than the 4g's...sneaky!

Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr Eyeshadows share more than packaging in common with Mac Paint Pots!
The formula is also very similar - a solid cream eyeshadow that melts with contact of the skin.
Personally I use this kind of product as an eyeshadow base but they can be utilized
as an all over wash of colour, an eyeliner and of course as a base as I mentioned.

Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr Eyeshadow shade 45 Bold Gold is medium toned golden shade,
I wouldn't call it a true gold as it tinkers on being bronze so best described it is a golden hue.
In some lights it has a slight dirty look due to the slight brown tinge.
This is not a matte shade but a shimmer based cream,
I did not find the shimmer to be irritating nor did it alter the application process.
This shade is not fully opaque but is easily buildable should you require it to be,
the key is to let each layer dry fully before applying the next.

I'm not going to lie and state that I tested these for the full 24 hours as I was raised better than that haha!
I also don't recommend wearing make-up in general for such a lengthy period as you skin will suffer.
First of all I wore the formula for 12 hours without primer and without an eyeshadow on top,
it faired well and only faded and creased ever so slightly around the 11 hour mark
but do keep in mind that I have oily lids so that will effect the wear profusely.
The next day I applied the formula with a primer before hand and a slick of powder eyeshadow on top,
applying the eyeshadow on top was fairly straight forward and it blended well.
For those it may interest I applied Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr Eyeshadow with a fluffy blending brush.
This method lasted the 12 hours with ease and should I have needed it to it would have withstood
another good few hours!
I found these to feel light weight and comfortable on the skin and a great alternative to Mac Paint Pots.
