One of Clinique's newest additions is the line of Almost Lipstick's,
they offer glossy, non-staining light coverage with a shine finish and a dose of moisture.
They come sleekly packaged in chrome slim long line silver packaging
that feels as luxurious as it looks!
In bullet form Tender Honey is a deep nude shade in bullet form
yet applied it is a sheer light nude with a yellow undertone.
Unlike some light nudes this does not wash me out and is a really pretty natural nude.
Out of all the Almost Lipstick's I have tested this has to be my favourite shade by far!
The beauty of this lip product is that it works with rather than against your natural lip shade
so with each persons lips there will be different results.
As earlier mentioned these are not aimed to be pigmented
but their purpose is to deliver a hint of a tint with a glossy finish.
Basically these are very much tinted lip balms but without all the fuss or mess.
I find potted lip balms to bleed and be a nuisance to apply but as these are in lip stick form
they are super easy to apply and with precision too!
They feel light and comfortable to wear non - sticky and hydrating.
Some shades are of course more pigmented than others but generally speaking they
don't deliver a massive dose of colour so you may want to layer it over another lip shade.
In terms of wear I achieved around 2 hours before the gloss and hint of colour faded.
If you like tinted lip balm type products but wish they were more controllable,
this is a product you should investigate as it ticks every box!
It is also lovely for those days you want to achieve a polished look with minimal effort
such as hot balmy days in the summer when full on lipstick just feels a little too much!

ReplyDeleteIt depends if you'd use it a lot or not :)
DeleteThis looked a bit scary in the tube, bit too brown for my liking but it just translates as a gorgeous nude on the lips. great post!

It's funny how tricks of the mind work. I tried this on in Sephora and my boyfriend SWORE up and down that it made my lips shades darker and browner. I swatched it on the back of his hand and he had toe at his words. Haha~
ReplyDeleteI really want to try this out!
