Another Lip Butter offering for you all today this time it is the form of
The Body Shop Mango Lip Butter, which comes in a cute little sunshine yellow/orange
plastic tub with a screw on function lid and a co-ordinating sticker on top!
Unlike other items in The Body Shop range this has a slightly artificial mango scent
that almost borders on a perfume like scent opposed to the natural type scents of the body butters.
It is not unpleasant by any means it just smells a little stronger and as mentioned artificial.
However The Body Shop Mango Lip Butter does contain real mango seed oil.
It slicks on with ease and lives up the butter claims by far!
I found it to produce a clear gloss like finish and offer instant hydration to the lips
but it should be noted that it does not have any healing properties - not that it claims to!
Personally I didn't find it to be a long wearing product at all,
any trace of the butter had long vanished before we hit the hour mark.
A half an hour wear time if more realistic in all honesty.

haha i'm guilty of that too :)
DeleteI received some of their lip butters from the Xmas collection, but although they are not bad, I'm unlikely to repurchase them. Of course I always do prefer sticks over lip balm in a pot, but I also found it does not really have that great of an effect on my lips. It almost seems to dry them out, which I find really strange, because that usually does not happen with all natural lip products with me. Perhaps it just smells too good so I keep licking my lips without noticing it, but either way, I will finish the products but not repurchase. I guess I'll stick to my Burt's Bees.
ReplyDeleteWowza! 30 minutes? That's such a short wear time!
ReplyDeleteThat looks DIVINE! I have pink grapefruit and it freaking delish xxxx (although i think that ones formula is more slightly long last than this one?) xxxx
ReplyDeletegreat review! i just stick with revlon lip butter :)
ReplyDeleteIt sounds perfect except for the fact that it doesn't wear more than 30mins - bummer!
ReplyDeletemango is one of my favourite flavours, it's so fresh and juicy! I always go into bodyshop and forget about the lip balms, but over Christmas they did a spiced vanilla flavour and it's so milky and moisturising!
ReplyDeleteI do agree though, they last very little time!
