Clarins Perfect Shine Sheer Lipstick Pink Coral

This February sees the launch of Clarins Spring collection - Colour Breeze.
"This season colour washes over a flawless complexion as the first signs of Spring
are encapsulated in radiant tones of delicate to enhance and illuminate,
for perfect bright and breezy beauty."
Today I have a limited edition lip shade in the form of Pink Coral to share!

Unlike the previous Clairns Spring Collection items I have shared with you this comes neatly
packaged in a heavy weight high chrome silver case.
The lipstick is heavy and feels expensive not to mention luxury,
with each item delicately embossed with a "C" you can see the effort and detail involved -
even the lipstick bullet has the word Clarins engraved upon it.
Aesthetics aside the packaging more than protects the lipstick housed inside.

Pink Coral is officially described as a coral pink shade which I think is pretty accurate.
I would say it leans more pink than it does coral  and slightly reminds me of a pretty bubble gum pink.
Pink Coral is a yellow toned pink making it a neutral shade.
On the lips it does take a slightly more orange tone and appears more coral than it does in bullet form.
It is also only when worn do you notice that Pink Coral has a shimmer finish
but much like Pink Magnolia the shimmer is microscopic, doesn't feel gritty
and gives the illusion of plumper and fuller lips.

I found the Perfect Shine Sheer formulation to be light and hydrating.
It delivers a subtle hint of colour that is above par of that of a tinted lip balm
yet not as opaque as a typical lipstick formula.
The lipstick glides on smoothly and feels almost balm like on the lips,
which resulted in a light sheer wash of colour with a light glossy finish.
I detected a slight fruity scent from the lipstick but is taste free so no need to worry there.
In terms of wear I achieved around two hours before requiring a touch up.
I feel this formula is a great balance of sheer colour and hydration
and much superior to a bog standard tinted lip balm.
