Oh no not another Body Shop body butter post!
Well yes and no.
I don't actually use this on my body but my hands.
I have used many a hand cream but none quite moisturise quite as well as this does
so I like to have a little 50ml tub of body butter in my hand bag at all times!
For my hands I don't have a preference of scent as I obviously don't smell my hands (eww)
and I wash my hands before I eat so it doesn't affect me one way or the other.
However the Strawberry scent is delightful none the less.
Let me quickly fill you in about the Strawberry scent
first of all it is not as tart as I had imagined it to be,
now there is no denying that the Strawberry scent is sweet
but luckily it is not sickly sweet.
Rather it is mild and very feminine if that at all makes sense,
it lingers on the skin without over powering.
It transports me to summer which is not a bad thing at all
given the grey days we have been having of late.
The Strawberry Body Butter is aimed at normal skin,
which is the formula I find works best for my skin (face excluded)
as I don't have dry skin at all, rather the opposite in all honesty.
The butter is thick and creamy, absorbs instantly into the skin,
leaving it felling completely moisturised without leaving behind any icky greasy coating
all the while leaving your skin delicately scented.
The reason I use this and not typical hand cream
is due to the high dose of moisturisation it delivers
but also how quickly it absorbs into my hands resulting in no faffing about waiting for it to dry.
Try it and I bet you'll be converted too!
You can pick up any of The Body Shop Body Butters from either the stores or online - link

DeleteThose are the best body butter photos I have ever seen! So clever and cute! I wish I was so inventive!
ReplyDeleteLately I've been working my way through the different body butter scents, I'm on raspberry at the moment but strawberry is an old favourite, so sweet and yummy smelling!
aww thank you :) mmm raspberry sounds very yummy indeed!
DeleteI love this scent of body butter, but as I use it all over my body I find it stays on my skin for ages and ages. I don't mind that much, because it's a very nice scent, but it pretty much kills any perfume I try to use over the top!

it works wonderfully well give it a whirl :)
DeleteI've had my eyes on this body butter for ages.I keep going inside Body Shop just to have a little sniff of its yummy strawberry scent.I have a 50 ml Mango Body Butter when it came free with Marie Claire last year.I love it but I hardly use it because I'm trying to save it. 17.95 euro for a body butter is not my cup of tea.Frankly it's way too expensive.Don't you think so too?
ReplyDeleteI would love to own the Starberry version soon. But I'll wait til the price is a little more easier to swallow. :D I am afterll a student on a budget. When I do get it I would be using it on my body and my hands.
ps love the pics as usual.I love all the strawberries inside a small 50 ml sample container. How did you manage? They look adorable. :D
Wow that much in euros ouch that is pricey! I tend to wait until they are on sale and stock up :)
Deleteaww thank you :) I chopped them up haha :)
I love your photography for this post! It totally looks like a desert! Hum...a hand cream huh? I've been using body oils instead of lotion lately but I still love a good hand cream. :D
ReplyDeleteaww thank you :) how is the oil working out? I hate the sensation of oil but have to admit the benefits are amazing!
Deleteooooh good idea!! I might pick one up :)

It's nice that it really absorbs quickly, there's nothing worse than greasy hands, EW! As Eden said, the photography for this post is great! :)
