My Favourite Fragrance Finally Becomes a Candle

Thierry Mugler Alien Candle Review

For years, and I truly mean years, I have worn Thierry Mugler Alien Eau de Parfum - you could go as far as saying it is one of my signature scents. In the last few years, I have reserved my luxurious bottle of Thierry Mugler Alien for the colder, crisper months but with the launch of the limited edition Thierry Mugler Alien Candle, I no longer have to rely on inhaling the traces of my perfume on my coat; I can now unapologetically scent my entire home with the sweet notes of Alien.

I'm normally a complete stickler for packaging, it often influences my purchases so it surprises me that I am really taken by the simple, purple glass jar stylings of the Alien candle - despite the fact that the majority of my home happens to be stark white in d├ęcor. Hey a little splash of colour really brightens up a home doesn't it? The purple of the glass, beautifully captures the essence of the now iconic fragrance and of course is a subtle nod to the bottle design so many of us know and love, sometimes products don't need to shout but whisper to make an impact.

If you are more than familiar with Thierry Mugler Alien Eau de Parfum then you will know exactly what to expect from the candle of the same name - it is intense, seductive and perfect for curling up alongside come the chilly Autumn evenings. For those to yet familiarise themselves with easily one of the world's most loved of all time, let me share a few notes and in my opinion a little magic: Sambac jasmine, Cashmeran wood, and white amber - despite containing a floral top note, it leans more warm, sensual and addictive rather than overly floral based.

Yes the addition of both the Alien and Angel (read my review here) candles cater to existing fans 0 and new alike - but they also offer a whole new dimension to fragrance lovers, and of course allow those who can't wear such intense fragrances daily, a way to enjoy such scents in the comfort of their homes.

Sadly both the Thierry Mugler Alien and Angel Candles are limited edition so you will have to move quickly but perhaps with a little hoping and maybe wishing, perhaps in the future both will be made permanent.

Until then you can find the Thierry Mugler Alien Candle £39/180g via Debenhams - link.
