Today after a few meetings, I am going to treat myself to a mini Lush splurge - nothing overly fancy, rather a simple trip to replenish on a few firm favourites. Unlike most, I am not the biggest fan of Lush Bath Bombs; don't get me wrong I do enjoy them as an occasional treat but really my interest lies within the bath melts, body scrubs and face masks. Basically I am fairly boring and stick to what I know - well unless it is a new and limited edition collection but that is a post for another day.
So before I ask for a run down of the contents of your Lush basket, virtual or otherwise let me share my top three Lush recommendations - there are of course many others but if I could only choose three, this would be my hand-picked selection.
Lush Ocean Salt Face and Body Scrub - Luxurious, beautifully aquatically scented with a splash of lime. This gentle scrub gently sloughs off any dry and dead skin, while gently leaving behind a non-greasy hit of moisture. I can't get enough.
Lush Volcano Foot Mask - Hardly anyone ever mentions this nifty foot scrub-come-mask and that is a crying shame. I call it a pedicure in a tub as it effectively removes all traces of dried out skin, softens my feet to a baby like state and refreshes the tootsies. You really need to give it a whirl.
Lush Olive Branch Shower Gel - Is there a better shower gel? I think not, this beautiful almost woody-come-aromatic scented body wash is loaded with natural olive oil to condition, smooth and soothe the skin - it is one of the few shower gels that doesn't irritate my Eczema prone skin. If you have thick, dried out hair this can also double up as shampoo. Yes, you need this.
Of course the above will be coming home with me, along with a few other sneaky purchases but as I am a little stuck in my ways, I would love if you could recommend me a new product to try. I will take all the suggestions on board and hopefully the comment section can serve as a beginners guide to Lush?
That foot mask sounds just like what I need after my poor feet have not seen the sun in months!
ReplyDeleteI am a huge fan of their bath bombs, but my regular must haves are Honey I washed the Kids soap, It's Raining Men Shower Gel, Ro's Argan body Conditioner and Oatifix face mask (which I need to stock up on!)
ReplyDeleteI really want to go on a Lush spree, even more so now! That foot mask sounds great x

I love Ocean Salt SO MUCH! I bought my first pot in the summer and it was just amazing. I used it within a couple of months, and sadly I haven't got around to buying another yet. I need a new face scrub pronto so I'll probably pick one up on the weekend when I pop into Lush.
ReplyDeleteI can't live without Lush's Intergalactic Bath Bomb. It's a real treat for me, and one I like to use before an evening out, or on a day off. :)

It's always interesting to see what else people like to get from Lush. I don't really have too many 'staples' from there as I tend to just like everything I buy and go in store kind of blind. I'm gonna write down a list of things from other people's staples I might want to try for next time!

Great post! Nice to see some different recommendations. I've added the foot mask to my wishlist. I'm not overly obsessed without bombs either, I do love Intergalactic but otherwise I prefer bubble bars as you get more use out of them.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite Lush products are sadly always limited edition body washes, like Rose Jam

Well I am now a HUGE fan of the Volcano scrub thanks to your lovely self Adrienne when you blogged about it a while back! I'm intrigued by the shower gel doubling up as a shampoo, must give it a try! One of my regular repurchases is the Comforter bubble bar as you can get a good few baths out if it plus it smells divine! The Honey I Washed The Kids soap is another fav, even though I'm not a huge fan of soaps as I find them drying, this one is surprisingly nice plus smells good enough to eat! :)

100% need Ro's Argan, she makes me feel so pampered without leaving the shower. i HATE applying body lotion, I hate being cold and naked. Waiting for a cream to dry I would rather not bother, but Ro's argan you apply in the shower and wash off. Best thing ever. Plus it smells so so good. I cannot wait for the day we move and get a bath, my lush haul is going to be EPIC! haha

I have the Olive Branch shower gel in my stash, looking forward to using it now! I love the Rose Jam Shower Gel (wish they released it all year round) and the Comforter Bubble Bar. I'm yet to try any bath melts xx
