Isn't it wonderful when something just clicks? When a product that so many swear by that doesn't agree with your needs suddenly begins to work its magic? For me such product is EOS Lip Balms, for years now I have never understood the hype, rather than comfort and nourish my lips they did quite the opposite - they irritated and often further chapped my lips. Far from ideal. Now it wasn't for lack of trying that the EOS Balms did nothing for me, I kid you not there is not a scent or option within the range that I haven't tried and to no avail. With the power of hindsight I have no decided that perhaps it was acne medication causing the problem, lord knows it is to blame for other random allergies.
The good news is my skin is pretty much acne free and I am now free to use products that once left me running for the hills. Enter EOS Lip Balm in Honeysuckle Honeydew, a cute ping pong ball shaped ball that has a fresh, sweet yet fruity scent that is very reminiscent of both cucumber and melon. If you are missing Summer this might be a great quick fix and pick me up option, all of which you can keep in your pocket and of course use to protect against chapped lips.
If that is not enough EOS (Evolution of Smooth) lip balms are 100% natural and 95% Organic, as well as being completely free from Parabens, Petrolatum, and Phthalates. As mentioned above their are several variants to choose from within the brand, including medicated options and balms with SPF15. The base formula is pretty much the same throughout the line but impressive none the less, it includes: antioxidant-rich vitamin E, skin soothing and softening shea butter and jojoba oil to help keep the lips hydrated and supple. I do stand by my previous admissions in saying that this is one of the thicker textured lip balms I have tried and as such you do have to approach with a less is more attitude. If you apply a little too heavily handed it will result in a thick, white barrier that is a little tacky to the touch - less than attractive I'm sure we can all agree. On the plus side this is a heavy duty balm meaning one application will stay on the lips for a good few hours providing both moisture and a barrier against the elements.
As much as I enjoy the scent of the EOS Honeysuckle Honeydew Lip Balm I would recommend purchasing a medicated version for the winter months, especially if you are prone to chapped lips. Yes the EOS Honeysuckle Honeydew Lip Balm is a great moisturising option but it will not heal broken skin.

I love this one! <3
ReplyDeleteI love the EOS lip ball's they are my favourite, I like them because you can find them in your purse. You're not searching for a little tube in your purse or makeup bag. The blueberry and the strawberry are my favourite out of their collection.

I used to love the EOS lip balm a few years ago - especially the red one (Summer Fruits?) but for some reason it stopped doing anything for me after a while and I had a revelation with the Nuxe one and never looked back - but now I'm tempted to try it again!

I hate chapped lips, and I get them sooooo badly. I only use my EOS's when my lips are in good condition.
