Lush Salted Coconut Hand Scrub Review

Lush Salted Coconut Hand Scrub Review

At first I was a little bewildered by the need for a hand scrub but when you think about it, our poor hands are pretty much subjected to every condition imaginable, as well as being a part of all we do. It only makes sense that every now and then, they will become dried out and very much in the need of a little TLC. Enter Lush Salted Coconut Hand Scrub, the new staple product you never realised you needed until now.

Lush Salted Coconut Hand Scrub Review

Lush Salted Coconut Hand Scrub is a soft, almost creamy concoction that contains a blend of 50% sea salt, lemon and extra virgin coconut oil to quickly renew even the most tired looking of hands. The fragrance is not at all what I expected, it is not an overly sweet nor creamy scent; rather it is the perfect, almost savoury fusion of coconut and salt. Bizarrely it conjures up images of both the British seaside thanks to the salt ingredient and more tropical locations due to the coconut kick.

The scrub itself is rather watery and fine in texture, as such I do find that a little goes a long way - typically I use a coin sized dollop per use and find it to be more than sufficient. To use simply apply to the hands, massage into the skin using circular movements and rinse clean. I have found that by using it on dry hands, it is more intense and ideal for dried out skin; where as when combined with damp hands it is a little more gentle and perfect for daily use. Despite the creamy, somewhat nourishing texture this is not greasy in the slightest and does not leave behind any form of residue.

Lush Salted Coconut Hand Scrub Review

If I am entirely honest I wasn't expecting much from Lush Salted Coconut Hand Scrub, I had almost written it of as a lovely but somewhat novelty product but that is not the case in the slightest. One quick use not only leaves my hands feeling beautifully soft and nourished in an instant (the effect lingers for up to 24 hours after each use); I have also found that any hand cream applied afterwards is quickly absorbed too.  As an added bonus you can of course use the Lush Salted Coconut Hand Scrub on your feet too, when a product smells and feels this great why would you want to reserve it for only one area of your body?

Lush Salted Coconut Hand Scrub is a new classic in the making, you can find it via Lush for £7.95 - link.

  10. This sounds gorgeous and it's good to hear you don't need much per usage - it sounded quite expensive but if it'll last well, I think I'm going to have to try it!

  11. I have a No7 hand scrub I got in a gift set a couple of years ago and at first I thought what a strange product, but then like you I thought actually it makes sense. I tend to forget to use it which is silly because I do have problems with dry skin on my hands regularly so I should use it more. Once I've used up the No7 one I'll be picking up this one x
