It doesn't rain but it pours here on The Sunday Girl, before you yawn and say you are bored of candles/wax tarts and home fragrances hear me out. Last month I decided to subscribe to every UK based home fragrance subscription box in order to a, get a better feel of the concept and b, to see which was the best value. As a huge fan of Flamingo Candles I was more than excited to subscribe to their new wax melt box, 8 new scents delivered to my door - yes please.
For just £10 (delivery is included within the price) Flamingo Candles will ship 8 large wax melts to your door and within the first delivery you will also receive a pretty wax tart burner too. Oh but that is not all within the box there is a 20% discount code for the next box so you save a little with each order. So far I would say that this is the best budget friendly option out of all the home fragrance boxes I am subscribed to, the Flamingo Candle Melts are huge, have a great scent throw (I've bought them individually in the past) and can be broken up for at least three uses.
The downside, if you can call it that is that there is no obvious scent theme - truthfully that doesn't bother me in the slightest. Rather Flamingo Candles The Melt Crowd contains a selection of fan favourites, new and upcoming fragrance launches as well as box exclusive scents, in essence a nice sampler kit of the brand's scent range in one neat and tidy box. Flamingo Candles can also guarantee that you will receive entirely different melts for at least three consecutive months. Each scent is individually wrapped and I know this won't matter to everyone but the physical packaging is minimal (no waste). In theory the box of melts should be slim enough to slide through most letter boxes - great if you are forever coming home to red "sorry we missed you cards" from the Royal Mail.
A huge thumbs up from me, easily the best budget friendly option without skimping on quality nor contents.

This is so great. I'm so glad I've read this post !! I've been looking for less expensive way to home fragrance than burning my favourite Yankees ;) Thank you, I'll give this one a go :)
ReplyDeleteI'm gutted they have run out of the August box as I really want to try the doughnut scent! I will need to get the September box next month :)

I really like the idea of this. I've never bought a Flamingo Candle (YET!) but I would love to give the wax tarts a go for sure, especially with autumn and winter around the corner. :)
