The majority of us will suffer from troubled and sensitised skin at some point in our lives. Annoying? Heck yes but not as testing as finding a solution - you want to heal, repair and soothe but don't want to run the risk of further irritation. Well I have stumbled across not only an affordable but effective problem solver in the form of Quick Fix Facials Calming Clay Mask.
This £4.99 mask has quickly become my go to product for soothing irritated skin as well as calming and cooling any redness, and the best part (price aside) is that it works in under ten minutes. Quick Fix Facials Calming Clay Mask contains Oatmeal - to moisturise and reduce any skin tightness, Aloe Vera - to cool, calm and reduce irritation such as inflammation and any itch, Chamomile Extract - to soothe, calm and tone, and lastly Rose Extract - which is to aid the reduction of redness which may have been caused by enlarged capillaries. A stellar ingredient line up wouldn't you agree?
Quick Fix Facials Calming Clay Mask has a thick, easily spreadable texture that you would associate with any clay mask. It is quick, easy and a little messy to apply but once on the skin it immediately cools, calms and reduces any skin tightness and irritation - which I often suffer from when my complexion is acting up. As someone who doesn't typically suffer from redness I can't truly comment if this would help with a persisting problem, what I can say is that it does reduce any redness surrounding blemishes - making the skin appear less aggravated. As a frequent sufferer of hives I can vouch that it helps eradicate not only the signs of redness but general blotchyness (I realise this is not a real word/term but hopefully you get what I mean?) too. Quick Fix Facials Calming Clay Mask gently reduces inflammation and may well be ideal for aiding the repair process of sun burn too (not tried or tested theory but the ingredient list certainly points towards this direction)?
If you are looking for a quick fix (geddit?) for stressed out skin be it general irritation such as inflammation, redness or even an itch this is a face mask well worth adding to your stash.

DO NOT USE THIS MASK!
ReplyDeleteif you do have sensitive skin this mask is the worst within 2 mins on=f putting it on i could feel a burning sensation and after washing it off everywhere the mask was has turned bright red like a sunburn! exact opposite of what it says it does!
Eep sorry to hear that, I hope your skin is okay? I have heard a few people say this now which is alarming. It hasn't happened to me with any of the brands masks but I certainly will be more cautious.
DeleteI should have looked for a review first - patch tested on my inner arm, seemed fine. I applied it and less than 3 minutes later realised it was burning. My skin was bright red and burny! Several hours later, antihistamined and with hydrocortisone on my face it started to calm down... I'm still glowing a little 24 hours later. Scary what it did!
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to reiterate the warnings given here in the comment section. After 5 mins i washed the product off, which was fairly painful, and have been left with skin that is sore and an incredibly bright shade of red. An hour has passed and it does not seem to be abating. I'm sure the product has worked for some but it really isn't worth taking the risk in getting a burnt face.
ReplyDeleteDo not buy this product!
