Fans of
Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde Mascara are in for a treat, launching on the 13th of May is the Bourjois Limited Edition Volume 1 Seconde Mascara. The same formula many of us know and love but in limited edition packaging, for the same price. In place of the standard silver and coral packaging, up until July Bourjois Limited Edition Volume 1 Seconde Mascara will come in a bright, floral tube inspired by the current 70's trends taking the fashion world by storm. Rather than seeing this as gimmicky, see it as a little fun - it will be around until August (the packaging that is, the mascara is permanent) and the same price as it always was.

Bourjois Limited Edition Volume 1 Seconde Mascara is a quick drying, blacker than black mascara that features a large, wrap around brush. The bristles feature a spherical design to coat each lash in mascara without clumping - all the while stretching and plumping the lashes in one quick step. As someone with a fairly small eye space I do struggle a little with the brush - especially on the bottom lashes, as long as I allow time for a little clean up with a cotton bud before heading out it isn't a problem but worth noting none the less.

Bourjois Limited Edition Volume 1 Seconde Mascara does create longer and thicker eyelashes but it can be a little prone to clumping, two coats is all I ever really manage before it appears spidery. The good news is that it dries on the lashes instantly and adds oodles of volume and length without too much effort. I find this to be more of an evening mascara a.k.a the one I reach for when sporting a smoky eye as the overall effect can be dramatic. The good news is that it does wear beautifully, it doesn't smudge, smear or flake - nor does it irritate my somewhat sensitive eyes. Although not a waterproof formulation it can withstand the odd spot or rain with ease and is comfortably removed with water or any eye make-up remover.

Above is Bourjois Limited Edition Volume 1 Seconde Mascara applied in haste (yup still to fill in my brows) before popping out this morning, this is one quick coat - hopefully you can see the additional length and volume. I have used this mascara in the past a good few times in the past - albeit not in the new packaging and can vouch it does what it claims to.
Bourjois Limited Edition Volume 1 Seconde Mascara £9.99 launching the 13th of May via Boots and Superdrug.
