Fans of rose gold and polka dots rejoice as YSL Rock Lace Collection offers just that in the form of cosmetics. Be it a pretty eyeshadow palette filled with the perfect combination of pink and grey eyeshadows or a polka dot printed version of an iconic product, YSL have you sorted with their latest limited edition collection - YSL Rock Lace Collection.
I am a huge fan of YSL Couture Eyeshadow Palettes, the pigmentation is beyond incredible and the texture is sheer luxury. There is not a weak shade out of the five on offer - each swatch above is only one little swipe with a light hand, and as you can see the colour pay off is phenomenal. I do have to state that the texture is a little drier (I found this made the shadows adhere to my eyelids a little better) than I expected, on the plus side it doesn't produce an abundance of product fall out. I am beyond impressed each time I reach for a YSL Couture Eyeshadow Palette and do find myself loitering around my local counter all to often. As you may know I have really oily skin, that extends to my eyelids so I do test all eyeshadows with a base and primer, each time I have used this palette I have achieved 8 hours of wear. Now a quick note on the shades; YSL Couture Eyeshadow Palette in Rock Resille contains five somewhat metallic shadows to choose from: a light somewhat peachy tinged rose gold, a subtle neutral ivory, a metallic and a little glittery black in the centre, a light mauve based grey and lastly a mid toned pink based copper. It truly is a beautiful palette and offers a great day to night assortment of tones, which I find few and far between at the moment. I hate to say this but if you have blue or green eyes, you are going to want to add this to your stash ASAP as it really does enhance such eye shades.

As mentioned above a staple and long iconic product of YSL make-up has underwent a make over. For a limited time only you can purchase YSL Touche Eclat Rock Lace Limited Edition. It is the same formula many know and love, only with added polka dots in the golden pen casing we are all familiar with. To dispense the product, you simply click on the bottom of the pen and brush on to the skin where needed. I have to say that I am a fan of the fuss and mess free application ,there are not many highlighters come concealers that I recommend applying on the go but this one gets the thumbs up. Sadly the YSL Touche Eclat Rock Lace Limited Edition only comes in one shade - 1, which is a light, creamy ivory with strong pink undertones. Yes YSL Touche Eclat is a concealer come highlighter but not one you would use on blemishes, It is intended for use under the eye area and anywhere else you feel needs brightened. I personally apply this under my eyes, on the bridge of my nose and on my brow bone after foundation. The pink tone within the shade cancels out any signs of blue/black circles under my eyes while brightening as it goes. You can also use it to gently remove/tidy any eye make up mistakes. The formulation of YSL Touche Eclat is surprisingly thin but not at all watery - it brushes on beautifully with the in-built applicator. I tend to brush on and then work it into my under eye using my index finger. Although a thin texture it offers at least medium coverage which can be built up rather easily without creasing or settling into fine lines.
A pretty yet rock inspired collection - the perfect blend of edginess and delicateness fused together. If you purchase one item let it be the palette, the rose gold shades are worth the splurge alone.

The pigmentation of the eyeshadows is incredible, I'm now rather tempted by the palette. I'm not crazy about the packaging though, just a solid gold would do me fine but beggars can't be choosers.
