I've had a few requests to share my current skin care routine in regards to my acne and trust me it is coming - perhaps as soon as this weekend. Until then I do want to share two products which have revolutionised not only my habits but also my skin, yep I am indeed talking about the La Roche-Posay Toleraine Ultra Collection - two products in particular.
The new La Roche-Posay Toleraine Ultra skin care line up is a soothing, non-oily. light and non-greasy textured daily care range that features Neurosensine - a strong soothing agent to instantly target skin irritation. Unsurprisingly each product contains La Roche-Posay thermal spring water to naturally soothe and calm irritation. Each products is also preservative-free, paraben-free, fragrance-free, alcohol-free, colorant-free and lanolin-free - in other words very, very gentle. If like myself you are a little wary of germs and products expiring quickly due to air exposure you will be pleased to know that the new collection is presented within a new generation of ultra-hermetic packaging.
I have now stopped taking oral antibiotics as my skin has cleared up immensely, I am now on a prescribed topical lotion which only needs to be applied if and when I have a break out. The downside is that said lotion is fairly irritating and drying, my skin is fairly sensitised - enter La Roche-Posay Toleraine Ultra Skin Care; a collection of skin soothing products that heals and nourishes all the while being gentle. Suitable for all, quick to work and neither product will break the bank - tell me more I hear you say.
First up we have La Roche-Posay Toleraine Ultra Fluide (£14.85) - my go to moisturiser which I have been slapping on both morning, noon and night. This is a light, almost lotion like moisturiser that feels weightless on the skin yet is quickly absorbed and non-greasy. On the skin it feels both cooling and calming, any tightness from stripping products or medication in my case is quickly banished, skin looks and feels not only deeply hydrated but also plumper. Due to the texture this is ideal for quickly moisturising the skin before make-up application as well as those with dry skin and/or mild eczema. As many will know I have oily skin and this does not overwhelm my skin -it is light enough for morning use yet intense enough for night use teamed with a serum. I should mention that this has been formulated not only for use on the face but also the eye area, I don't personally use it in place on my eye cream but it is good to know.
Speaking of eye cream's there is also La Roche-Posay Toleraine Ultra Eye Contour (£12.65) within the collection, again is a super light weight, almost liquid eye cream that soothes, tightens and prevents further irritation of the eye area. If like myself you find a lot of eye creams result in your eyes watering and/or you suffer from hayfever this is one worth seeking out. As someone who is currently suffering from irritated eyes which includes dry and cracked skin on my eye lids this is the only product that doesn't sting or further add to the problem, rather it has helped heal and restore the area. At just under £10 it is a great everyday eye care solution for sensitive eyes that could be combined with an anti-ageing cream should you wish, it is also ideal for those who just want a great, gentle moisturiser for such area - especially younger skin types.
La Roche-Posay Toleraine Ultra Skin Care is a great, everyday skin care range that delivers and will benefit most skin types and concerns. I can not recommend it enough, especially for dry and/or blemish prone complexions.

I've been humming and aching over the Toleraine CC cream, it sounds good but concerned about the colour - amazing to hear you're off antibiotics, it's always a great feeling!

I love my Toleriane riche though I normally use the Nutritic line. Great to hear your skin is doing better!
ReplyDeleteLa Roche Posay is my go to skincare brand now. Of all the brands I have tried, my oily, blemish-prone skin is most tolerant of LRP and it has certainly helped with bad breakouts I have been having and keeping my skin calm and relatively clear :) x
