I love lipstick, I really do - a quick glance inside my make-up storage would only cement this but every now and then I like something a little more glossy, moisturising but non-sticky. As much as I like tinted lip balms I do prefer a little more pigment, luckily as lip crayons are very much of the moment there is plenty of choice around. One of the better offerings that won't break the bank are the new GOSH Forever Lip Shines. With 10 new shades to choose from and a price tag of just £6.99 per crayon it is safe to say that these will do very well indeed.
GOSH Forever Lip Shines are your typical lip crayon in terms of packaging - colour coordinated outer plastic tubes with screw up mechanisms so you never need to worry about sharpening the crayon. As they are shaped like a chubby pencil you can line and fill the lips in one quick step, there really couldn't be a more perfect lip product to travel with be it in your pocket for on the go application or on board an aeroplane.
As mentioned there is 10 shades to choose from, three of which I have been kindly sent to try out:
003 Love Story - a light muted nude, brown in tone yet it does have a slight hint of pink to stop it from washing out complexions. It is somewhat reminiscent of MAC Hue.
008 Spring Fling - a light, yellow toned pink. Not an exciting or original shade but very wearable and a great everyday pink.
009 My Valentine - a true, classic, glossy and blue toned red.
The GOSH Forever Lip Shines are soft, moisturising, glossy and non-sticky - essentially the perfect blend of pigment and shine in one neat little parcel. They glide on to the lips offering both a great level of colour and sheen with a formulation that is hydrating and not prone to bleeding nor feathering. It terms of wear due to the moisturising nature they are not the longest wearing lip product out there but each application offers around 2 hours of wear including eating and drinking. You can apply in layers for more intense colour pay off without the formulation ever feeling heavy or tacky on the lips. Due to the buttery formula they also do not cling to dry areas of the lips. In my opinion they are a great dupe for the Clinique Chubby Stick Intense for the lips only around half the price!
