Today has been one of those days in which I question myself for as much as getting out of bed. Like most bloggers I am struggling with the lack of natural light, I finally caved and purchased soft box lighting. Today said lighting turned up minus instructions, bulbs or the stands. Cool if the seller hadn't specified that the price included everything and were entirely suitable for beginners. Livid especially after the less than helpful reply I received from the seller. Needless to say they have been boxed up, ready for return tomorrow. Oh life. Anyway here is what I have been enjoying for the last week or so...
NYX HD Studio Finishing Powder
I like this powder, I don't love it but it does do a great job of keeping my skin oil free throughout the day as well as optically blurring my enlarged pores. I will say that if you have dry skin or plan on using flash photography this may not be your best friend. Unless blended in fully it will show in photographs and it has a tendency to cling to dry patches skin. Otherwise it is a good little budget find.
Bobbi Brown Sparkle Eyeshadow in Golden Peach
A beautiful, bright bronze eyeshadow that really brings my blue/grey eyes to life and makes them pop with next to no effort. The soft, easy to blend texture makes application a breeze and blending is just as easy. It is well pigmented yet not harsh, this is probably one of my favourite eyeshadows of all time.
Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Balm Perfector in Red
Personally I am not a huge fan of red lipstick, I don't have the confidence to wear a bright, red lipstick in an everyday setting. Light, red washes of moisturising colour? That I can do. Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Balm Perfector in Red, is a light, glossy hue that doesn't mask the lips in pigment rather it works with the lips natural shade creating a bespoke shade. In essence the Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Balm Perfectors are tinted lip balms but they are a little more sophisticated and pleasurable to use.
Sephora Collection Blush in Orange Pop
I say this constantly but allow me to reiterate - Sephora needs to come to the UK and soon! Forget it being a beauty haven (it is) but Sephora's own brand make-up is phenomenal. I am a huge fan of their blushes - soft, silky, easy to blend, well pigmented and affordable. My personal favourite has to be Sephora Collection Blush in Orange Pop - a bright, orange based peach that is matte so it doesn't highlight flaws yet brightens the entire complexion.
Lush The Olive Branch Shower Gel
My skin is dry so my go to shower gel is Lush The Olive Branch - it contains real olive oil so along with smelling incredible it cleanses and leaves my skin feeling silky soft. A must buy.
Ciate Orange Choc Pot Nail Polish Remover (£6 when they launch)
I like to switch my nail colour fairly regularly but hate the removal process, I do prefer pot style nail polish removers but not so much the stench. Enter Ciate Orange Choc Pot Nail Polish a quick and easy way to remove nail polish that leaves your hands smelling wonderful after each use. I can't wait for this line up to launch in March so I can purchase a few more fragrances.
What have you been enjoying lately?
Yes.

I share your feeling on bright red lipstick! I love how it looks on other people but I simply cannot wear it. No matter what I do I end up looking slightly like a clown.
