Vita Coco a brand you most likely are familiar with as the brand leader within Coconut Water. Forget the thirst quenching drink for a moment and focus your attention on the newly launched Vita Coco Coconut Oil. Sure Coconut Oil isn't anything new but getting your hands on pure 100% virgin oil can be easier said than done. My guess is that eventually (if not already there, I haven't personally checked) the Vita Coco Coconut Oil will appear in Supermarkets - convenient.
Unlike other Coconut Oil brands Vita Coco offer three sizes of their oil: 250ml, 500ml and 750ml meaning that if you not completely sold on the concept yet curious you can try it out without too much commitment, or of course use the 250ml size for travel.
What makes Coconut Oil so special? Only the multitude of ways it can be used! As a cleanser it is pretty similar to a cleansing balm in texture and use - gently removing every scrap of make-up including mascara with next to no effort all the while leaving the my skin soft. Coconut Oil naturally moisturises and soothes the skin so you can skip moisturising if you felt like it (not that I recommend it but you could) making it the perfect cleansing product for those with dry skin. It is also worth mentioning that with Virgin Coconut Oil you know exactly what you are putting on your skin - how many great cleansers do you know that are 100% natural and only contain one ingredient? Did you also know that such oil also has a natural SPF of 4 as well as being a natural antibacterial and an anti-inflammatory so even oily/blemish prone skin types can reap the benefits.
I don't use this as a moisturiser on my body or face but to keep the skin on my body soft and subtle I do apply it from head to toe as a shower oil product before rinsing off. I also melt the solid into a liquid, allow to cool but not solidify and apply to my hair - leaving for hours at a time to deeply condition and nourish my hair.

Basically I swear by Coconut Oil and welcome the addition of Vita Coco.
You can purchase all three sizes via Amazon with prices starting at £5.99 - link.

As part of my new healthy eating and fitness regime/ lifestyle, I've been on the look-out for some good quality coconut oil, as it's meant to be great to cook with. Looking around Tesco, however, they only have a couple on sale and they're really quite expensive! It makes it all the more worth the purchase if it has a multitude of uses though, I guess. I really wasn't a fan of the coconut water, if I'm honest, but maybe their coconut oil will take my fancy a little more-so. Great post :)

I love coconut oil and use it daily but I could see this being quite expensive compared to other brands, if you know where to look you can get it quite cheaply.

Ah this is exciting, I, like many have always wanted to try coconut oil but it does seem to be on the pricey side! Although, this seems super affordable. Plus it's always good, if a product has a lot of uses!
