First of all, let's get it out there I am not a fan of Valentine's Day even when I am with someone and not the bitter singleton. I find it all a little commercial and forceful, there's those that get upset should their partner forget and those who are generally ungrateful should the gift not meet expectations. Nope, no thank you and should I ever get married (ha!) etc I can assure you my feelings won't change. I am a fan of celebrating love, with that in mind here are some gift suggestions that I am sure most girls (I suck at male gifting ideas) wouldn't mind waking up to. Yes they are very last minute, some may not arrive on the day of "lurve" but the best things in life are worth waiting for non?
As a side note luxe doesn't always equate to expensive...
Forget a box of Milk Tray or the likes and splurge on Charbonnel et Walker chocolates, with more choices than you can shake a stick at you are guaranteed to find a sweet treat for your loved one. As one Britain's earliest chocolatiers and the choice of the Queen you know you are in good company.
The one palette just about every lady out there wants is the NARS Dual Intensity Eyeshadow Palette - 8 dual purpose eyeshadows and a super soft brush make this a must have. ASOS currently have this limited edition offering in stock, with next day delivery you still have time to order and have this in your clutches by the 14th.
One of my favourite Valentine's Day launches for 2015 has to be Lush The Kiss Lip Scrub - a cute, candy scented lip treatment that features real sprinkles and little red hearts. Cute, budget friendly and a much needed lip product after a long, harsh Winter. A great novelty purchase that any girl would be happy to own.
If any lipstick will gain you Brownie points this Valentine's Day it will be one of the Tom Ford Lips & Boys Collection. With 50 shades to choose from all of which are named after men in Tom Ford's life there is something for every mood and skin tone. I do think it is especially cute to gift a loved one with a shade name that means something to them i,e my name is Adrienne and I would like the shade Adriano!
Forget a bunch of flowers and indulge in a high end fragrance be it a cologne or candle. If luxe is what your loved one desires they don't come much more luxurious than Jo Malone Intense Colognes, a collection of rich fragrances that will last much longer than the month of February. For a gift both of you can enjoy why not splurge on a D&G scented candle, they scream luxury in both scent and packaging.
Lastly as a nod to the flower of the occasion, yes red roses may I suggest Aromatherapy Associates Renewing Rose Body Butter. This rich, comforting body cream not only smells incredible but leaves the skin deeply nourished. As it is limited edition I do think any Aromatherapy Associate fan would be more than pleased to own this.
If you are celebrating, I hope you have a lovely day!

I can't wait to get my hands on the Nar's eye shadow palette! I'm still reading some reviews about it. I was too excited for the blush palette that came out last Holiday season but I was actually disappointed when I saw it in person.
