In this months My Little Box there was a full sized By Terry Crayon Khol, I'm guessing various boxes had shade differentiations. I was fortunate enough to receive By Terry Crayon Khol in Bronze Generation - a shade I had popped on my wish list many moons ago. If you are looking for an eyeliner that not only defines the eyes but can be used as a base product or an all over wash of colour not to mention is incredibly long lasting you may want to call off the search!
I won't bother going into great detail concerning the packaging of the By Terry Crayon Khol's - they are your standard pencil shape and size, they feature a weighted base for ease of use and sharpen fairly easily with minimal product waste.
According to the Space.NK website there are 15 shades in total to choose from or collect, as mentioned I have Bronze Genereation a blackened, golden olive green with bright gold glitter particles. When first applied and not smudged or blended out this appears to be black with a gold nuance, if blended the gold come olive undertones and glitter becomes more apparent making it more diverse. Yes the glitter is pretty obvious which may not be suited for day use but rest assure that the glitter chunks do not irritate the eyes nor is there any fall out or gritty texture.
The By Terry Crayon Khol's are essentially gel liners in pencil form, they glide on with the utmost of ease - there is no tugging, pulling making them perfect for the delicate eye area. Don't let the buttery soft texture fool you - the pigmentation is incredible as is the lasting power, not to mention the shape of the nib allows you to create precise as well as more chunky, care free lines. The beauty of the By Terry Crayon Khol's is the fact that they can be used in the standard eyeliner sense - to define the upper and lower lash lines as well as the water lines with a wear time of around 4 hours per application. If you like a quick and easy smoky eye look, haphazardly apply the By Terry Crayon Khol in Bronze Generation all over the eye lid and blend out with the option of adding a powder eyeshadow on top or not. However you apply it you can be safe in the knowledge it won't smudge, smear nor crease.
At £23.50 the By Terry Crayon Khol's are not cheap but they are diverse not to mention beautifully formulated in unique shades making the splurge that little more justified. I am converted and will be purchasing another shade or two next time I happen to frequent my local Space.NK counter.

Sounds like a great pencil, but the colour name is a bit misleading: there is nothing bronze about that!
ReplyDeleteThe packaging looked purple and the product looked black? It actually looked really really black to me.. I've been curious about these for a while but can't quite justify the purchase yet
ReplyDeleteSounds like a dream to apply, black is too heavy for me but I'll have to check out their shade range!

I was expecting to see more of a gold-y bronze tone, this seems to be quite darker and speckled with a sheen of bronze. None the less it looks like a lovely colour and definitely would be perfect for a night out!

These sound really nice, especially this colour, they may be a bit pricier but eyeliners last for ages.
