We have now reached that time of the year in which Christmas is now only mere days away and the inspiration well may be running dry? Panic sets in when it comes to last minute gifts as far as I am concerned but if there is a special lady in your life then I can not recommend treating her to a bottle of Dolce & Gabbana The One Collector’s Edition Eau de Parfum for Her. Not only is this one of my favourite evening scents but my gosh is that bottle breathtakingly beautiful.
"The One Collector’s Edition takes inspiration from the iconic symbols treasured by the Designers. Each flacon bears the imprint of a gold coin, a strong motif in the Dolce & Gabbana’s fashion collection for 2014 representing a journey of discovery of ancient Sicily and the Greek culture that lies deep within its history. The profile of mythical Greek gods is em Dolce & Gabbana The One Collector’s Edition EDP blazoned upon the coin - they personify the voyage to Sicily’s roots and capture the spirit of The One Collector’s Edition, crossing between reality and surrealism."
Now on to the notes, the element I forever struggle with. Don't you find it so difficult describing a scent, I know I do. Anyway this is certainly a floral fragrance - almost a fruity floral but very, deep and strong. It is warm and almost familar. Notes include mandarin, peach jasmine, vanilla, amber and musk, in my opinion you can not detect the musk but rather the vanilla and jasmine dominate with the odd fruity note creeping through now and then. I do think this would be a little too intense for most for day wear but recommend testing out Dolce and Gabbana The One Eau de Parfum if you are on the lookout for an evening scent that is truly beautiful yet long lasting. If you are a fan of this fragrance or on the look out for something with plenty of impact I say treat yourself as this is limited edition packaging and who wouldn't want this on their dresser?
