Chicago Candle Co.

Who goes to America and brings back more candles than they can carry?
This guy, that's who. Forget Bath and Body Works, Yankee and all that is in-between the company I really think everyone should be trying is Chicago Candle Co. Not only do the fragrances smell amazing but more on that later but each candle is hand poured using soy wax (cleaner burn and better for our lungs) into a recycled beer or wine bottle. Economically savvy, quirky and well priced.

Chicago Candle Co. do tend to fragrance their candles based on alcoholic beverages be it cocktails, wine or anything else that may leave you tipsy. Honestly I very seldom drink alcohol and loathe wine yet I think these have to be some of the best smelling candles I have ever purchased. They don't at all smell boozy just utterly unique and beautiful - yes really!

I was only able to track down three scents: Backwoods Cider - a warm apple and pear fragrance with a slight kick of cinnamon, perfect for the Autumn in my opinion. Kentucky Bourbon - my personal favourite, it almost smells like leather  which is due to oak barrels and is just rather sexy, like a well groomed man. Oh my! Lastly Pumpkin Buttered Rum - slightly spicy but light and buttery with of course hints of Pumpkin. Some Pumpkin scents can see a little sweet and/or bland but not this one.

Aren't these the perfect candles for popping on a dinner table?
I now suddenly want a drinks cart to place these on.
