Jo Malone Christmas 2014 - Frosted Cherry and Clove

Jo Malone Frosted Cherry and Clove Deluxe Candle Christmas 2014

In a matter of days (can you believe we are nearing the end of October already?) Jo Malone will unveil their Christmas 2014 products and undoubtedly the star of the show is the new scented candle - Jo Malone Frosted Cherry and Clove Deluxe Candle.

"The fantasy of Christmas, captured in Frosted Cherry & Clove. Flickering light. Enveloping scent. Sweet and juicy cherry complements the spiced scent of clove, comforting cinnamon and sensual amber. Succulent and warming."

Now I know what you are thinking Cherries aren't typically something most of us associate with the festive period unless your mind automatically goes to Christmas Cake. Hey mine too! It is however beautiful and strangely winter ready, it is sweet yet refined and thanks to the clove it has a certain Christmas-sy (not a word but it should be) appeal to it. In some ways it reminds me of mulled wine and brandy in the sense that it has a certain richness and in other ways it reminds me of the aforementioned baked goods and the hustle and bustle of the kitchen in the run up to the big day.

Nostalgic is how I feel when I smell the notes of Jo Malone Frosted Cherry and Clove which is only set of by the utterly beautiful red, etched glass container. All I want to do is deck the halls, put on tartan pjs, wrap gifts and watch the likes of Home Alone when I think about this Christmas ready offering. At £120 you may want to ask Santa for a lottery win or a rich spouse along with the candle but if money is no object then I would want this show stopper slap, bang, centre on my dinning table this coming December.

As mentioned above the Jo Malone Christmas collection is set to launch this coming November but the Jo Malone Frosted Cherry and Clove Deluxe Candle has sneaked on to Selfridges - link.

This post does not contain a press sample but the image was taken at a press event.
