Tomorrow YSL unveil their newest fragrance - Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium Eau de Parfum and let me be the one to say it is divine. Initially I was a little wary, I don't personally like the original YSL Opium fragrance and assumed it would smell similar. Nope! Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium Eau de Parfum is truly one of those scents that so many will fall in love from the first test. If you are looking for a warm yet striking fragrance to last you all Autumn and Winter long this is one to check out!
Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium Eau de Parfum is a gourmand floral that contains notes of Black Coffee - for a shot of adrenaline; White Florals such as Jasmine - to instantly seduce and Vanilla - for sweetness and sensuality. In my opinion Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium is hella sexy - alluring yet not overpowering, familiar thanks to the vanilla yet different to any other vanilla based scent due to the black coffee and floral notes. It is truly beautiful and lingers on the skin all day long. Yes it is very sensual which I don't always find vanilla based fragrances to be but comforting at the same time. It has all the warmth I seek from an Autumn/Winter scent. Although they don't smell all that similar I do liken it a little to Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir Cologne and would imagine if you like that then this will be right up your alley.
A quick note on the bottle - isn't it beautiful? The same shape as the original Yves Saint Laurent Opium Eau de Parfum only it is black and glittery. Don't worry about the glitter aspect as it has been coated so that you can use it without being covered head to toe in glitter.
Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium Eau de Parfum is currently exclusive to Selfridges but goes nationwide tomorrow. Prices range from £44-£81 - link.

This sounds lovely - jasmine and vanilla would have to be my favourite scents!

Wow....another great package design. I have to try this. I have had so many bad experiences with choosing perfumes lately that it would be a breath of fresh air to try something good.
