Oh today hits the year mark of weekly favourites, a full year!
I actually prefer weekly favourites over monthly round ups as I am quick prone to chopping and changing my make-up each week. Anyway here is what I have been enjoying recently...
I have mentioned this in the past but when the seasons change my sleeping pattern takes a knock, I struggle to drift off each night for around a fortnight at the most and then suddenly just like that things sort themselves out. Bizarre but to prevent my skin from behaving badly I rely on Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair and Estee Lauder's Advanced Night Repair Eye Serum. Basically not only does the Estee Lauder's Advanced Night Repair Serums replenish and repair the skin but they also plump and add a healthy glow to the skin. It is for that very reason the formula is often referred to as sleep in a bottle, I find that Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair is one of the few products that I can see results from the very first use and for that reason I can't be without it. I will be restocking later this month when I hit duty free.
Do you ever rummage through your make-up stash and discover a foundation that you forgot you even owned? Terrible I know but it does happen! I have been rediscovering Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundation at the moment and have to say I am really enjoying it. My normally oily skin is a little dehydrated and the creamy formula seems to be helping not only to add a little moisture but also a light glow to my complexion. I would say this is a medium to full coverage foundation that is easy to build up and once set with a powder it not only stays put but looks fresh for around 8 hours.
My go to blush is an old favourite of mine which I did have to replace only a few weeks ago MAC Mocha Blush. If you have not tried this I urge you to do so, it is a lesser known MAC blush but one I think everyone should own. A warm, matte medium toned pink that has a certain dusty quality that sculpts as well as adding a hint of colour. If you are in the market for a new MAC Blush but are undecided I urge you to give this a whirl!
On my lips has mainly been MAC Coral Bliss Lipstick which is a bright yet surprisingly easy to wear coral. If you are a fan of MAC Ever Hip and curse the day that your tube ran out I would say that this is as close as MAC get when it comes to alternatives. My lips have been a little dry as of late so I have been keeping Lanolips 101 Ointment in Strawberry which is naturally scented so it isn't sweet or sickly in fragrance not that I care all that much as it leaves my lips nourished with each use.
Lastly a shout out to Elizabeth Arden's Eight Hour Cream Intensive Moisturising Hand Treatment which is my go to hand cream. Nothing quickly nourishes my hands as quickly or as effectively as this hand cream. Pricey but oh so worth the splurge.
What have you been enjoying lately?
My Hello Flawless is sat there in my stash and I suspect it will be back soon - it's a tiny bit paler than my MAC studio sculpt so once my tan fades it'll be back in use! I really want to try the Elizabeth Arden cream. I'm going to try and pick it up next time i'm in Duty Free.

ReplyDeleteI've also been dying to try the Hello Flawless foundation, I think I'll give it a shot after I finish my current foundation from Tarte! I'm also in love with that makeup bag, so cute! :D I love the idea of doing a weekly favorites post, I'm prone to switching things up quite often as well.
