Weekly Favourites #37

What a week a great but busy week, the good news is that along the way I have tested out so many products and found lots of favourites along the way...

My skin in general both my face and body are not looking all that great so to fake a little warmth I have been heavily relying on He-Shi 1 Rapid Hour Liquid Tan. This tanner is honestly one of the best I own not to mention it is incredibly easy to use. The light but tinted liquid glides on with a tanning mitt and quickly develops to a natural medium bronze shade within the hour. It has changed how I look at self tanning forever - no more wrecked white bed sheets or smelling of fake tan for longer than an hour. I should also mention that you can allow it develop over night for a deeper shade should you wish.

Now on to my make-up must haves or at least what I have been relying on this week. Smashbox Full Exposure Palette is an utter dream to travel with, you have light to deep shades all of which are neutral and in two formulations matte and shimmer/metallic. The great thing about this palette is that you can create a barely there natural day look or a full out glam smoky eye with ease. I should also mention that the supplied brush with the palette is great - soft and really blends out eyeshadow with ease. I have been relying on Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion to keep my eye make-up in place - I tend to use a MAC Paint Pot in the winter and then switch to this primer once the weather heats up. Speaking of primers I can't be without Max Factor Face Finity All Day Primer - I yap on about it all the time but truly if you have oily skin or just want to keep your make-up in place all day long you need this and need it now!

On an almost daily basis I find myself slicking on Rimmel's Exaggerate Lip Liner in East End Snob this is a muted nude pink that is similar to MAC Whirl Lip Liner (reportedly Kylie Jenner's lip colour of choice), only a little lighter and more pink based. It has quickly become my staple lip shade - sorry MAC Angel Lipstick, it lasts so well and is a complete bargain at only £3.99! MAC Playland Collection recently launched and I have rather been enjoying MAC Pure Silliness Lip Glass which is not like me at all - first of all it is a bright, candyfloss pink and secondly it is not matte being a gloss. If like myself you find bright lip colours a little out of your comfort zone this is the way to go - the colour isn't as full on and is surprisingly comfortable to wear. Ease yourself in, if you will. Heck I even wore red lipstick out to dinner a few days ago.

Despite not really being one for toner Elemis Rehydrating Ginseng Toner has been reached for several times a day - it cools and soothes my skin if used as a facial mist and also helps to ensure my skin is squeaky clean when used as a toner. I may just be converted! At last an eye cream with an SPF! Clinique Superdefense SPF20 Age Defense Eye Cream is now a staple product of mine - if you slap on SPF everywhere else why not the eye area too? This has been formulated to hydrate and protect the skin from both sun and environmental damage while being gentle to such a delicate area of the face. I apply this each morning and can safely say that it does not interfere with my eye make-up in the slightest, I'd actually go as far as saying it helps keep my eye make-up look fresh for longer.

Last but not least a quick shout out to my beloved Bumble and Bumble Pret-a-Powder - this light powder can turn around a bad hair day instantly. It adds volume and refreshes the hair in one quick step also it adds a little grip - so if you have super soft hair that is a nightmare to plait or pull off the face this is the powder you need. I love it because dry shampoo leaves a coating on my scalp which leaves me scratching my head all day long. Yes this is a much pricer option but it is worth it so I don't appear to have nits ha!

Have a lovely weekend everyone!
