Let me begin by saying that I don't tend to enjoy matte nail polish, I find it looks flat (I guess that is the intended point of it) and will more often than not apply a glossy top coat over any matte nail polish I own.
Then along came the new Barry M Matte Nail Paints for Summer 2014 and changed my mind forever...
You see unlike a traditional matte nail polish the new Barry M Matte Nail Paints for Summer 2014 tend to dry to a semi matte finish meaning they have a slight gloss to them, not super shiny nor are they super matte. The end result is rather flattering and as they are opaque in one quick coat I really can't knock them. The six new shades are bright (I get almost tropical/festival vibes from them) and oh so ready for the sunshine.
Barry M Matte Nail Paint in 7 Miami - a mid toned yellow based pink, a Barbie pink by any other name.
Barry M Matte Nail Paint in 6 Waikiki (I now realise I have painted the swatches out of order) - a bright yellow green.
Barry M Matte Nail Paint in 8 Malibu - a bright mid blue.
Barry M Matte Nail Paint in 9 Rhossili - not quite purple, not quite pink but utterly bright.
Barry M Matte Nail Paint in 10 Cancun - a bright turquoise, leans more green than blue.
Barry M Matte Nail Paint in Copa Cabana - a gorgeous bright tomato red, my personal favourite.
If that is not enough there is also a new Barry M Matte Nail Paint Topcoat so you can turn any exsiting nail polish matte or use it over one of the Barry M Matte Nail Paints to seal the polish to prolong wear.
The new Barry M Matte Nail Paints £3.99 each via Boots with a free gift if you spend £6 -here.
