Chemist Direct Haul

I was recently contacted by Chemist Direct to pick a few bits and pieces to test out, I say recently it was Tuesday afternoon and my products arrived this morning which was rather speedy. All three of my items arrived via a courier, neatly packaged and wrapped in bubble wrap which I appreciate when make-up is involved! Here is what I picked and why...

To know me is to know that I am a little (okay a lot) obsessed with fragrance and at the top of my to get list for the longest time was Jimmy Choo Eau de Parfum which is only £29.99 for a 60ml bottle via Chemist Direct. Jimmy Choo do the prettiest bottles and all of their fragrances are pretty spectacular (okay I'm not a fan of the new Exotica but the rest are top notch). I have sprayed this on today and have to say I am rather shocked by how long it has lasted on my skin. Normally light floral's which this is wear off almost immediately on me, I will of course review in full at a later date but so far I am smitten!

My favourite eye make-up remover has ran out (Garnier Express 2-in-1 Eye Make Up Remover if you are curious) and I thought now would be a good time to put a new one to the test. At the moment so many are raving about L'Oreal's Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover and as it is only £3.16 I thought why not! I have yet to try it out but did draw on my hand with a waterproof eye liner and removed it using the L'Oreal Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover. Don't get me wrong it did it with ease but I think I prefer oil based eye make-up removers if I am entirely honest but hey let me give it a proper whirl before drawing any concrete conclusion!

Lastly I have Vichy Dermablend Fluid Corrective Foundation which I have only read rave reviews about. Basically this is the be all and end all of high coverage foundations, it contains an SPF15 and covers pretty much all scarring, discolouration and anything else you can possibly imagine. I am seriously shocked by how lightweight the texture is, normally high coverage face products are heavy but this is the complete opposite. I have the shade Nude which is a little too deep for me but should be a good match come summer. I plan on purchasing the shade down later on today as I can imagine it to be a great concealer and a must have when my skin decides to play up!
