If you are on a spending ban (my purse is currently empty so I feel ya) then look away as Topshop have some rather wonderful new launches that not only rival some very well known high end brands but in shades that are hard to resist too. Here are three new arrivals that you may find yourself lusting over at your local Topshop counter.
First up we have a duo chrome Topshop Nail Paint in the shade Blue Jeans (if you can hear Lana del Ray ring in your ears have a high five on me) which reminds me of all things sea based mainly mermaids. A medium green tinged jewel toned blue with a high glossy come foil finish that only requires two coats to become fully opaque and each coat dries in record time too. Find it here for £6 - link.
I have spoken about Topshop's Lip Creams in the past and liken them to a great budget friendly version of Hourglass's Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipsticks. The newest shade to the line up is Pout a brighter than bright true orange shade that rivals MAC M'Orange lipstick but again cheaper. The Lip Velvet's glide on with ease, offer full matte pigmentation, aren't overly drying (you may want to layer it over a lip balm to lock in moisture) and wear exceptionally well - in some cases up to five hours. Find it here - link.
Lastly we have a new dupe for YSL's Glossy Stains - a highly pigmented lip stain that somehow manages to cling to the lips for up to three hours of wear despite having a glossy finish. Crazy huh? For £8 this formula is intensely pigmented, beyond glossy, comfortable to wear as well as being somewhat moisturising. The only downside is that much like any other gloss based lip product this is a little sticky and perhaps not one to wear on a windy day if you catch my drift. I have the shade Cruel which reminds me a lot of MAC Rebel Lipstick only a smidgen lighter and far more glossy - if you have yet to discover Rebel basically I would describe this as a red tinged berry. Slightly vampy yes but 100% sexy. Find it here - link.
As a side note I apologise that there has been no lip swatches for a few posts now, my eczema has flared up and I don't really want to photograph my skin until it calms down.
I can't wait to see what Topshop Make-Up has in store for Spring 2014.
