I was lucky enough to be sent two of the new and limited edition Lush Scents and I have to say I am rather blown away. I truly didn't think that they could smell so alike to the products that they have borrowed the fragrances from but they do. By that I mean think about perfumed shower gel or body products for that matter and the matching fragrance and I'm sure you'll agree that they very rarely smell identical. Well in the case of Lush and the two scents I have to hand they couldn't be more similar if they tried.
I imagine that Snow Fairy will be the best selling scent as I have yet to meet any female who doesn't enjoy the pretty pink shower gel so why would the fragrance be any different? What I will say is that the Snow Fairy spray on fragrance is much more concentrated than the shower gel or other bath and body products that share the same scent so a little goes a long, long way. For those who have yet to try Snow Fairy I would deem it to have a fluffy candy floss type with vanilla hints, I know this will sound bizarre but it is exactly how I would imagine the colour pink to smell like.
The other scent I was sent (talk about a tongue twister) is Lush Calacas which you may recall from Lush's past Halloween and Day of the Dead products. Lush claim to have bottled the smell of a Mexican festival with sweet orange, neroli and lime. In one word zesty...very, very zesty. If you like fresh and sharp citrus fragrances this is for you, the lime certainly prevails. I don't typically deem lime to be a festive fragrance (since that time of the year is nearly upon us) but one thing is for sure on a dull, dreary winters day this will pick you up. I think I will hold on to this one for next summer. Oh I should mention that this particular scent is made using essential oils.
You can find the Lush Limited Edition Scents* are available from Lush online only for one month only (until December the 22nd) - link

These look great! I hope that one day they will make a scent for American Cream, it's my absolute favourite! Ailish Goes

As much as I like the sound of a Snow Fairy perfume I'd worry it would be really quite strong and sickly and probably give me a headache. Plus for how much product you get for the money, I really don't think it's worth it, sad to say. :(
ReplyDeleteI wish they would a room and linen spray out instead, that would be amazing! :D

So excited for my Snow Fairy to come in the post - it's been dispatched, EEK! I want to see how I get on with it before ordering any more, I reckon they're going to be a touch novel/gimmicky but good fun over all.
ReplyDeleteThese two are definitely the scents I am most interested in :)
