Origins Super Spot Remover Gel Review

Origins Super Spot Remover Gel

I've tried the Origins Spot Remover Pads and enjoyed them but was looking for something a little more instant and travel friendly. The type of product I could pull out of my handbag and apply to the first signs of a blemish to stop it in its tracks, enter Origins Super Spot Remover Gel!

Origins Super Spot Remover Gel

Much like the pads of the same name the Origins Super Spot Remover Gel has been formulated to help speed up the healing process when it comes to blemishes and if applied quickly enough it can help prevent a pesky spot from forming in the first place. This nifty little gel contains Salicylic Acid to exfoliate the skin as well as decrease inflammation which can speed up healing especially when combined with the anti-spot technology unique to this product to aid skin correction - i.e to prevent the blemish darkening or scarring for that matter. It also contains Caffeine and Red Algae to soothe and reduce redness, all the while being oil free perfect for blemish prone skin types.

Origins Super Spot Remover Gel

Yes above I deemed this perfect for blemish prone skin types but we all get spots every now and then, and when we do we want rid of them as quickly as possible. Will Origins Super Spot Remover Gel aid acne no of course not but for effectively and quickly drying out the occasional blemish this is perfect. I find that as soon as feel a spot forming if I apply this gel to the affected area it not only instantly reduces the redness but the eventual size of the blemish too. As this applies matte you can dab it on to a problem area over make-up should you need to without it leaving a cast or any evidence that you have it on your skin. In my experience Origins Super Spot Remover Gel does tingle a little but it is fast acting, reducing redness instantly and helping remove the entire blemish within a day or two. It isn't a miracle worker but then again what is, the reason I hold it in such high regard is that I have a problem with my skin scarring and since using this gel on the occasional blemish that has been a thing of the past, well as far as spots are concerned any way!

  2. A woman at an origins counter gave me a generous sample of this (she squeezed like half the bottle into a little pot) when I picked up other Origins goodies, and it's almost cleared up a nasty flare up in about a week. I do agree it tingles, but it doesn't sting like some other spot removers. I'll def be getting this again when my sample runs out.

  4. Seems amazing. I'm always reluctant to try new treatments though because nothing seems to work, I don't have terrible skin just the occasional hormonal spot, even the much raved about effuclar duo did nothing for me.

  7. I actually just tweeted earlier to ask the bbloggers if I should give this a try! Most of the time my skin is pretty clear now as I've been on the pill for years to control it but I do get hormonal and stress related outbreaks and I've noticed at least one spot always pops up a couple of days before a shoot. So I thought I might give this a try as the general consensus appears to be that it can drastically reduce redness and spot size in a couple of days. Reducing scaring is also a massive bonus as I also scar really easily :)

  8. I have heard a lot about this product. I don't get blemishes very often, but when I do they are hard to get rid of! Will have to add this to my christmas list!

  11. Oh gosh I need myself some of this.. I don't know what on earth is wrong with my skin but I've been breaking out like crazy lately, and if that wasn't bad enough, they're leaving marks on my skin which has never happened before. Sigh... X
