Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh Sunshine EDT

Believe it or not I'm not a huge fan of the original Marc Jacobs Daisy scent - I associate it with a Christmas spent ill and Parmaviolet sweets neither are my favourite things oddly. However the Marc Jacobs Sunshine editions are not to be missed even if like myself you are not one for the original versions.

I first misted on Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh Sunshine in Glasgow airport while browsing the duty free section and did not anticipate falling head over heels for the bright, sunny floral quite as hard as I did. I promised myself a bottle there and then but waited until the return flight to snap up the best bargain possible - US exchange rate combined with tax and duty free...kerching!

When it comes to fragrance reviews I can't help but think how wonderful a "scratch and sniff option would be", one day...one day. Anyway futuristic inventions aside I would pretty much deem Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh Sunshine to be the scent of the summer - bright yet fresh, sunny yet gentle and oh so feminie. It's like a walk in a field full of sunflowers in your favourite sundress with the love of your life. It really is that good!

As pretty as that tableau is perhaps an insight into the notes would be more useful than a skip down a meadow! Top notes include Strawberry, Pink Grapefruit and Apple Blossom, while at the heart the notes are Jasmine, Rose and Violet Leaf, completed with base notes of Oakmoss and Amber. Truthfully no single note is instantly detectable rather they fuse together and form a bright fruity floral fusion that will brighten the dullest of days. Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh Sunshine reminds me of Escada Rockin' Rio but where as that is more fruity than floral this is the exact opposite (more floral) but the overall effect is similar and equally as delightful.
