It is now Friday, I go away on Sunday...very early Sunday morning as a matter of a fact and guess what? I have yet to pack but worry not fellow beauty addicts I have priorities straight and have of course constructed a lengthy beauty wish list of products I will not be leaving Orlando without.
Nudity is totally acceptable these days right?
1, Every blush fan should pick up at least one Tarte Blusher when in the States/Canada. When reviews state that they don't budge they are not lying, even on my super duper oily skin these last an age and boy oh boy are they pigmented. My personal favourite is Tipsy which is a bright suit all coral.
2, Make-Up Forever is slightly more accessible within the UK than it used to be but the conversation rather shambolic so I have held off until I Sephora. On my hit list is the HD Foundation which is apparently a firm favourite of Kim Kardashian, the full coverage concealer and of course a HD Blush or two! This is probably the brand I am most excited to try out.
3, Josie Maran Coconut Water Gelee Blushes have been receiving rave reviews all over the internet recently and I'd be lying if I said I am not intrigued the only problem is that so far none of the shades appeal to me. I'm hoping that in person a shade or two grabs my attention.
4, I have a few tattoo's I got in the flush of teenage angst (if you can call it that) which I now regret and I have heard on the grapevine that the Kat Von D Tattoo Concealer is rather wonderful not only for covering regretful ink work but also pesky blemishes.
5, Lord knows I do not need another sheer lip product but the Maybelline Lip Whispers are calling my name, from what I have heard they are rather similar to Revlon Lip Butters but with a more expansive colour range. It doesn't help that they are as cheap as chips, how is a girl meant to show some restraint when a good bargain is to be had!
6, When it comes to Physicians Formula I don't have any particular product in mind that I want to pick up but I do know that I want to investigate the brand and not just for the super cute packaging. We don't really have anything like PF within the UK so it does interest me as does Cover Girl Cosmetics - their Lash Blast Mascara is amazing!
7, Oddly although we now have a Victoria's Secret store within the UK we don't have a proper online site so all the lovely body sprays and beauty bits and bobs go unnoticed. I plan on purchasing a good few of the body sprays and a bottle of the uber sexy Bombshell EDP.
If you are off on holiday anytime soon what is on your wishlist?

My wish list is tarte blissful, maybeline age rewind the brightener concealer.. Loreal lipbalm to name just a few.x
ReplyDeleteHD Blush is absolutely fantastic, I have it in shade #5 (Nip Slip, haha) which is a lovely bright colour that warms right up on my cheeks. I recommend it. I personally can't wait until the next time I'm in the USA to try out stuff from Tarte - I'm not really concerned about chemicals in cosmetics but it's nice to see such a well performing brand that uses natural ingredients. Also dying to try Fresh Cosmetics Soy and Umbrian Clay skincare lines. Have a good time!
ReplyDeleteI'm an idiot and didn't see the Tarte blush in the corner. Good call!
DeleteI love the tarte blushes! They're amazing!

I'm a Canadian gal whose had clear access to both Revlon lip butters and Maybelline Color Whispers, and because I am not a fan of shimmer lip colour, I wholeheartedly prefer Color Whisper!!! The formula is infinitely less melty, messy, and mushy, and the pigmentation is strong, but still sheer enough to look natural and be comfortable.
ReplyDeleteFor reference I have the Revlons in Red Velvet, Berry Smoothie, and Peach Parfait. My Color Whispers are Berry Ready, Made It Mauve, Sienna Sands, and Pinup Peach!
A note on Physicians Formula -- It's worth it to satiate your curiosity, but after that, I'd say it's a brand you can skip. The packaging is cute, but very bulky, and there are cheaper brands with MUCH better quality products. The cases look cute, but I've never been impressed by any of the products, except perhaps the multi-colored pressed bronzer which is good if most bronzers tend to look overpowering on you.
Wholeheartedly agree with this! Save your money on Physician's Formula. It's actually quite expensive for a drugstore brand. Opt for getting something else from MUFE or Tarte.
DeleteI'm dying to try the Tarte blushes! Unfortunately, I don't have any plans to go to the USA anytime soon so none of these for me!

Bah, you like bronzer, pick up some PF! They're not uber-cheap, but they still cost less than mid-range brands. The shimmer strips are like Bobbi Brown shimmer bricks, and that four-seasons bronzer you have listed up there is really nice, with more of a satin-y finish. I'd go for those over the happy booster stuff, personally.
ReplyDeleteWhen my mum went to Florida a couple of weeks ago, I asked her to pick me up some Color Whispers because I don't fancy waiting around for Boots to stock it. And because I know they'll be cheaper over there. I own 4 of them and I highly recommend them especially the shade: Orange Attitude. I know you'll love it Adrienne :)
ReplyDeleteI think muf products are extremely overrated and expensive. Let us know what u think of them.
ReplyDeleteI'm American, living in England & have just come back from a USA vacation & I stocked up! Try and go to an Ulta or Sephora! Beauty addicts HEAVEN! I have pretty much all of the Victorias Secret body mists/ washes & I recommend you get Endless Love. Smells like juicy apples and flowers yum! Enjoy your holiday! :)
