MAC Peachykeen Blush

I have mentioned MAC Peachykeen blush here and there but at the moment it is all I gush about when it comes to cheek colours. With that in mind it is long overdue that I not only share my thoughts on my blush of the moment but also a swatch or two.

I'm not going to waste your time by describing the packaging in detail - it is standard MAC and most notably it is fairly robust with a large sized transparent window to view the shade held within. Now on to the shade - Peachykeen is listed as a "very baby peach". I hate to say it but I do find the official MAC colour listings and swatches for that matter worthless - they are never a great indication of the shade let alone a true colour representation, with such website never blind buy and always snoop around other blogs for swatches. In my opinion Peachykeen is a dusky mid toned yellow tinged pink in pan form that applies a whole lot more peach once on the skin. As it is neutral in tone most skin tones should be able to sport this shade but I do warn that the pigmentation in this shade is one of MAC's weaker offerings.

As you can probably see from my photos that this blush does have a slight silver glitter accent which oddly does not translate on to the skin at all nor does it have a gritty texture. Rather Peachykeen applies initially matte but with a little buffing into the skin it gives a radiant peachy pink glow. I have no outright dupes of this blush but I do find it to be comparable to NARS Orgasm but without the beautiful golden sheen that Orgasm brings to the table. Rather this peachy blush gives a subtle, very flattering and almost soft focus flush of colour to the cheeks that does not highlight my many flaws and wears with a primer on my oily skin for up to 7 hours.

A great peachy blush that every fair to medium toned gal should at least swatch!
