John Frieda Luxurious Volume Dry Shampoo

I think it is safe to assume that at some point or other we have all relied on dry shampoo?
Personally I find it to be a life saver when I have slept in and don't have time to wash my hair or simply to add a little volume to flat hair, however finding a great dry shampoo isn't all that easy.

In the past I used to rely on Batiste Dry Shampoo but it doesn't agree with my scalp and left my scratching away like I had nits...not my best look. After much trial and error I stumbled across TIGI Catwalk Sessions Dry Shampoo which I do hail my holy grail yet at £12 it is pretty expensive for what it is.
Well hold on to those pennies as I have found a brilliant dry shampoo in John Frieda's Luxurious Volume Dry Shampoo at less than half price of the TIGI version!

When it comes to dry shampoo's in my experience the best ones tend to be from hair care brands rather than stand alone dry shampoo companies. My reasoning is that said companies not only have the know how but also the science behind any hair care product they launch so their offering tend to be better. It is very important to me that any dry shampoo smells great - yes it has to de-slick and add volume but a great starting place is a pleasant fragrance. John Frieda Luxurious Volume Dry Shampoo has a clean, almost aquatic scent which is fairly rare as most dry shampoo's tend to have a floral/powdery fragrance. Rather than dousing my enter head of hair in a strong scent this refreshes and doesn't linger all day in terms of fragrance.

Okay on to the nitty gritty, does it work? Yes, yes, yes! A little enthusiastic response I'll give you that but I have tried my share of dud dry shampoo's that I get rather ecstatic when one comes along that works and is fairly pocket friendly. First of all John Frieda's Luxurious Volume Dry Shampoo takes care of any oily roots without leaving behind a white cast - those with really dark hair will have to spend a little more time rubbing in the product but that has to be expected. With a title like Luxurious Volume Dry Shampoo you will of course expect some sort of uplift at the roots when using this dry shampoo and yes it does deliver but sadly like every other dry shampoo out there the volume aspect is pretty short lived but nothing a quick rustle of the hair can't fix throughout the day.
