Wet n Wild's Drinking a Glass Palette

I'm in the midst of composing a wish list of products that I hope to purchase when in the States this summer and one brand that crops up on my list fairly frequently is Wet n Wild so only made sense that I share a palette of theirs that I has been gracing my peepers for some time now - the Wet n Wild's Drinking a Glass of Shine assortment.

I don't want to chat too much about Wet n Wild's palette packaging as there is not much I can say - it does look and feel fairly cheap but as a budget brand you do have to skimp somewhere and I'd rather they did on aesthetics rather than the quality of product. One thing I must add is that over the years I have found Wet n Wild's palettes to be rather flimsy which coupled with soft eyeshadows never bodes all that well...yup many a shade has shattered in transit.

Annoyingly the Wet n Wild's Drinking a Glass was limited edition but if like myself you live in the UK you had next to no chance of purchasing it anyway unless you purchase online like I did, should you fall head over heels for this assortment of shades you may be pleased to know you can still purchase this palette via Amazon. Purchasing woes aside I truly deem this dinky little palette one of the best matte palettes I have ever used. First of all the formula is nothing short of amazing - soft, well pigmented, easy to blend and with minimum fall out. If that is not enough the colour assortment is simply astonishing ranging from brights to neutrals this palette has it all and is a must have for any matte fanatic.

Generally speaking I encountered next to no problems with this palette but I will say that the two lightest shades within the line up did prove to be the most troublesome. The white shade is really stark and can look a little cakey/ashen if not properly blended out and the lightest neutral shade is the weakest in terms of pigmentation with the black hue not far behind. However all the shades are completely wearable and with a primer you can easily get around 10 hours of wear. Now all we need is Wet n Wild to stock their current stock within the UK and we are laughing!
