Recently I was asked to pursue Benefit makeup from Arnotts and pick an item to feature.
Instantly I knew that the right thing to do was to give in to my hearts wishes and request Benefit's Coralista Blush which is the coral to end all coral blushes. I have been meaning to purchase Benefit Powder Blush in Coralista for forever and a day so I am beyond grateful for the kind gift from Arnotts.
Don't you just love Benefit's cute but completely quirky packaging? I know I do!
Normally I'm not a huge fan of cardboard packing when it comes to cosmetics as it is flimsy and not at all ideal but credit where credit is due Benefit's re-enforced cardboard packing has yet to steer me wrong.
I have a good few Benefit Powder Blushes and not one has smashed or chipped and I'm not exactly the most careful of people. The only negative I have encountered thus far is that eventually the little box does become scruffy looking as the pretty print fades and wears off over time. Oh I should quickly mention that each Benefit blush does come complete with a dinky little brush with is a great size and shape to sculpt and shape with.
Benefit describe Coralista as a coral pink and I fully agree. Coralista is a mid toned coral that has the perfect balance of pink and orange leanings. To add to that Coralista has a yellow undertone (neutral) with a slight golden shimmer finish that in terms of colour should be flattering on most. In my opinion Benefit Coralista is pretty close to MAC's Style blush but less shimmer based. Basically if like myself and the majority of your make-up is coral based you need to add this shade to your stash A.S.A.P as it is such a flattering summer hue.
As with most Benefit blushes this has a firm texture that is easily picked up on any face brush
and blends into the skin with ease. However I should point out that Coralista is subject to product fall out which may be to blame on the style of box and the slightly drier texture of the blush.
As with most Benefit blushes Coralista is scented and this sure doesn't disappoint with a sweet but fruity scent - I want to say Watermelon doesn't irritate the skin and fades over time both on the skin and eventually the entire blush pan. Coralista has a light shimmer finish but due to the shimmer being fine it isn't problematic to those who have problems with enlarged pores or fine lines but adds a warm, healthy glow to the apples of the cheeks. In terms of wear this lasts around 7 hours on my oily skin before signs of wear set in.
Sorry other coral blushes you have been made redundant, my heart now belongs to Benefit Coralista!
