Laura Mercier Radiance Foundation Primer Review

When you are blessed with oily skin like myself foundation primer isn't one of those products you stash away for special occasions it is an everyday occurrence. Without a primer my foundation slips and slides off my face within a few hours and basically looks ghastly. With the lighter and dare I utter it warmer days I have been on the look out for radiance boosting products and when it comes to primers you really can't do much better than Laura Mercier Radiance Foundation Primer.

As many will know my go to primer like most is Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch Primer which is utterly amazing and worth every penny but it is fairly matte and when you are wearing a radiance boosting foundation you want something that works with it not against it. Laura Mercier Radiance Foundation Primer does all that Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch Primer does: smooths the skin so foundation glides on seamlessly, minimises pores and helps to prolong foundation wear time but allows the skin to maintain a healthy glow. If you are a fan of light foundations, tinted moisturiser or even BB Creams then this is the perfect partner - it does of course work just as well with heavy foundations too.

Laura Mercier Radiance Foundation Primer is a light apricot tinted liquid that is a dream to smooth onto the skin and doesn't feel loaded with silicone, as soon as you apply it to the skin it adds a slight glow to the skin without a trace of shimmer or glitter in sight. Although apricot tinted the colour disappears once applied and is most certainly suitable for all skin complexions and types. I normally go for oil control product but I have found Laura Mercier Radiance Foundation Primer to help keep excess sebum at bay as well as smoothing out my imperfections and keeping my foundation in place.

I wouldn't say that this primer offers any type of coverage what so ever but it does help to blur imprefections as well as acting as a canvas for any product layered on top. If in the past you have found other primers heavy and not for you I urge you to try Laura Mercier Radiance Foundation Primer, a little goes a long, long way and I have since bought the full size. I adore the formula and deem it to be a Spring/Summer must have!
