Recently we have seen an influx of more Organic and Eco friendly beauty boxes creep into the sample box market and I for one welcome them, anything that beautifies as well as being friendly to the skin and earth is never a bad thing. Well the newest kid on the beauty box block is Beauteco which will launch properly on the 3rd of May but up until the launch Beauteco are running various competitions so you can be in with the chance of winning a box pre-release:
· Via Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/beautecobox
· Via Twitter at https://twitter.com/beautecobox
· Via the website at http://www.beautecobox.co.uk
Unlike other subscription plans Beauteco has three varied boxes each month which you can pick from to ensure you get the products you are most intrigued by all of which are only available while stocks last. Beauteco have also stated that over time the product choice will become more and more varied which does sound promising but basically in each box there will be 5 products, including 1 or 2 star products and 3 or 4 trial size samples. As you may have noticed the packaging of the Beauteco Box is slightly different to what us beauty box enthusiasts are used to well that is because the box is 100% recyclable and has been created using as little material as possible per box to avoid high carbon materials.
In the end I went for option 3 which includes:
- Anatomicals Body Scrub (Full Size £3.49) - I've used this grapefruit scented body scrub in the past and rather enjoyed it, the great thing about Anatomicals is that they offer great products that are budget friendly.
- Anatomicals Vitamin Rich Hand Cream (Full Size £3) - A great rich hand cream that has an almost sun cream type scent. As much as I like it I do wish the tube was a little smaller as it is rather bulky for stashing in my hand bag.
- Dr Braggi Age Management Moisturiser (sample) - This light gel moisturiser that feels silken on the skin retails for a whopping £120 for the full size tub so as much as I do like it I am trying not to grow too attached for the sake of my bank balance and all.
- Mitchell and Peach Body Lotion (sample) - Sadly I really dislike the scent of this body lotion so I haven't been able to test it out - the deep floral scent is a little too strong for my taste. The full size bottle costs £36 so it's probably just as well that I don't like it.
- Melvita Milky Cleansing Oil (sample) - Despite being a sample size of 35mls a little goes a long way and despite the strong rose scent I am impressed. This oil cleanser quickly melts off all make-up including waterproof mascara and leaves the skin feeling silky soft, I'm considering purchasing this is full size which retails for £27 for 40ml.
All in all I like the Beauteco Box as it features a good mix of well sized samples and full sized products of brands of all ages. Out of five products I only disliked one which only goes to show that when you get to pick what you receive chances are that you will like it. That being said some do enjoy the surprise element each month but if you like a beauty box with a concious then this is the way forward.
Beauteco launches 3 May 2013 at www.beautecobox.co.uk for £10 + £2.95 P&P per month.*

This box sounds fab!
ReplyDeleteNot sure if the sizing is right on the Melvita product, the sample is 35ml but full-size is 40..?! x
That's what I was thinking too, surely the full size would be 200ml or around that size? I'm going to look it up because I wouldn't pay close to £30 for something so small x
DeleteNeither would I! According to FeelUnique it's £19.50 for 145ml? x
DeleteAnatomicals <3 Lovely box and products you got xxxxx
ReplyDeleteLove the eco side of this box. My favourite aspect is the option to choose between three boxes! So smart :)
ReplyDeleteMuch love,

Me too I hope others follow suit!
DeleteI totally agree about the ability to choose a box being a big draw. I've considered beauty boxes in past but never bought one because (as far as I can see) there's no personalisation and I'd be pretty peeved if I got things that were totally unsuited to my skin type/colouring. I think all sample sachets I've ever had have been much too orange for me haha. This is at least a step in the right direction... x
ReplyDeleteOH! This is really great about Free beauty samples it is really great.
ReplyDeleteWow, this box sounds amazing! I love that you can pick what you'd like, that's a super awesome featured. I also really like their "Menu"! I don't know why, but that really stood out to me!
