Let me just say that I tend to loathe products that are aimed for night time use
as typically they are heavy and do little favors for my combination/oily skin.
More often than not I will use an oil free day moisturiser as my night cream and should my skin call
out for an extra dose of moisture then I will use Clinque's Sleep Mask.
Well all of that has changed since I stumbled across REN Omega 3 Night Repair Serum which is one
of the lightest serums I have ever used but still does a wonderful job of hydrating my skin
when required and most importantly it encourages your skin to repair signs of skin damage while you sleep.
REN Omega 3 Night Repair Serum is packed with fatty acids so it instantly soothes and hydrates dry skin
but as it is so light it does not over moisturise oily skin types which can often result in
what I not so lovely dub skin chaos.
Most shockingly for me is that this is oil based, a substance I was once so against
but although it does have a slightly greasy texture when initially applied it quickly absorbs into
the skin and gone is the dreaded tacky oily sensation but I warn you now it smells delicious!
You can use REN Omega 3 Night Repair Serum on it's own like I do or use it in conjunction
with your regular night cream to up the ante.
Either way after a short period of including this night serum into your routine you can enjoy plumper,
fresher, radiant looking skin all the while safe in the knowledge that you are reversing any signs of damage.
Not too shabby for one product huh?

I am a huge fan of this too - I have combo oily skin like you and I was worried I would hate this, but I actually love it. A little goes a long way and I love that the ingredients are not nasty. I want to try more REN having used this little baby

This sounds really nice, I keep meaning to try the Ren glycolactic and have just never gotten round to it, maybe once my spending ban is over Ill have a little splurge xxx Happy New Year xxx
ReplyDeleteI love REN products. I use pretty much the whole of their sensitive skin range! I had a little sample of this and it really does the trick.
ReplyDeleteI have oily skin, but at a recent skin assessment session at a beauty counter, i found out that my skin is actually really dehydrated. I blame the horrible cold winter weather and the lack of moisturiser that i have been using. I do want to try out REN products but i just don't know where to start. However, this serum seems to be perfect because it absorbs quickly into the skin and not too heavy. Might have to check this out and hopefully it will help me hydrate my skin again :D Thanks for the helpful review

I had a sample size of this and loved it, it was only a tiny tube and lasted about a month so I'm assuming the full size will last forever which is good news as its quite pricey!
ReplyDeleteMine had a bit of a weird smell but I think I may have kept it a bit too long so I'd be interested to know what a new tube would smell like!

REN is such a great brand, I really love their products. I have a sample of this and was always a bit scared to slap it on my oil skin, but I must get it out and give it a try! Great review!

I loved this, if you mix it with the Frankinsense night cream the results are great. x
ReplyDeleteI've only just discovered that you can fight oil with oil, using alcohol based products which strip your skin can make you produce even more. I bought clarins lotus face oil... I just can't bring myself to use it just yet haha!
