I had no intention of picking up this shade as I tend to steer away from light coloured liners
and go for something a little more dramatic but after trialing the taupe shade and being astounded by how
well it worked for me and how multi-use it can be I went into my local Boots with every intention of
purchasing each shade but sadly all that was in stock that day was nude...another time eh?
The new Rimmel Scandal Eyes kohl liners come in a good few shades including the staple black.
Packaging wise there's nothing all that fancy nor is there anything worth complaining about,
basically they are plastic pencils that are colour coordinated to match the liners lead shade
and that are easy to sharpen as they are plastic and not wooden so it shaves effortlessly
with less waste, in many aspects they are similar to Urban Decay's 24/7 liners.
Nude is of course a nude shade (how else can you describe nude really?)
but as far as nude tones go this is fairly light and yellow in tone.
Sometimes white liners can be a little stark especially on the water line so this shade is a great
alternative and it can also be used as an all over colour or a base not to shabby for £4 is it?
I have to say that for a drug store liner these have to be one of the creamiest and easiest to apply

The glide on not only the lid but also any of the lash lines and the water line without any problems
and as it is a waterproof formula it does cling to the skin and wears very well.
Now I'm not going to lie and say it wears all day but when worn on the lid as an eye base
I get around 8 hours of wear and around the same maybe slightly shy of the 8 hours on both of my
lash lines and around 4 hours on my waterline but my eyes do have a terrible habit of watering.
If you are looking for a good all round eye pencil the Scandal Eyes are well worth picking up
and blow many high end formulas out of the water!
Rimmel Scandal Eyes Waterproof Kohl Pencil in Nude £3.99/1.2g and is available from
both Superdrug and Boots and most Rimmel stockists.
I love everything Rimmel. Their lipsticks are the best.

I have this and iv'e been using it every day since i brought it. Great review :)
ReplyDeleteCan this be a dupe for Stila Kajal Eye Liner in Topaz?
ReplyDeleteI have both and they are not the same though i would say you don't need both. The Stila one is more more peachy and is creamier and i find it more opaque. The Rimmel one is much more biscuity in colour.
DeleteAlso if you have sensitive eyes beware although the Rimmel one as even though I don't have any particular sensitivity this reacted with my eyes something rotten and made them stream for hours.
It's such a shame as i've always been OK with any other Rimmel liners before too and thought this might save me some pennies :(
Sounds really nice! I've been looking for a liner in nude to use on my eyes to make them pop! Thanks for the tip!
ReplyDeleteArgh!!!! I want to get one.

I bought this a couple of weeks ago and I love it in my water line, I think it looks far more natural than a white liner and it's also great as a base on the eyelid for eyeshadows, Thank you for a great post :D
ReplyDeleteI've been meaning to pick this up for a while, great review - I love the colour in the swatch.
