I have to be honest and say that I was never all that enamoured by Kate Moss's first lipstick line
with Rimmel, the shades were nothing special and the formula was average.
However the new matte lip shades are all I want from a lipstick and more,
with a pocket friendly price tag I couldn't say no to a few shades!

The packaging of the matte Kate Moss lipsticks is slightly different from the original offerings,
this time around they come in matte red packaging that I find pretty festive
and of course feature Kate's signature on the lid.

"New Lasting Finish Matte by Kate Moss.Kate Moss brings colour to a new unique dimension.
The gorgeous colour richness and COMFORT of Kate’s lipstick, now in a Velvety MATTE finish.Ruby Powder enriched formula to intensify the colour while keeping a matte finish all day long!
Matte is re-invented for the most velvety comfortable colour EVER!"

Within the line there is five shades two of which I have to share...

Kate Moss for Rimmel Matte Lipsticks in shade 101
101 is a dusky blue toned pink that does translate to an almost mauve shade when applied to the lips,
101 is cool in tone but it does give the appearance of whiter teeth.
This reminds me a little of MAC's Snob but a little deeper in tone.

Kate Moss for Rimmel Matte Lipsticks in shade 110
This shade is a bright orange tinged red that is
most akin to MAC's Lady Danger but is not as matte in finish, however it is a decent enough
dupe with a much more affordable price tag!

Despite claiming to be matte in formula when applied both shades have a light moisturising texture
that is extremely comfortable to wear with sweet type of scent (sweets/candy).
However I do have to note that they are not completely matte and do have a slight sheen finish
but they do give a rich even velvet coverage and presented no problems in terms of colour pay off.
Wear time was pretty average with around 3 hours of even coverage before fading set in.

Kate Moss for Rimmel Matte Lipstick £5.49/4g and are available at most Rimmel stockists.
