As you know I have been on an "indie" hunt
and no I'm not looking for a skinny boy with shaggy hair...for once haha
but to find amazing hand made products that are a cut above the norm.
One of my first ports of call was Etsy and there I found Hot Mess Lacquers - link.
If you love glitter and cats then you must visit as the owner donates full profits from
a good few of her polishes to the kitty's of Nevada...amazing!

I bought two shades from Hot Mess Lacquers one of which I am chopping at the bit to share.
Aquanet is a bright purple base with a flurry of glitter in all shapes and sizes including large hexagonal
shapes and cute little chunky squares.
Most of the glitter is holographic but with the addition of fine blue glitter this polish lends itself beautifully
to both purple and blue base colours...saying that I reckon it would look killer over a black base too?

Hot Mess Lacquers are well presented in large 15ml bottles with a sturdy brush
and funky Hot Mess Lacquer labelling, yes this is a brand that is ran by an individual
but the polishes are so well presented that they would not be out of place on a shop floor.

Aquanet is of course a jelly polish, you could layer it on and eventually get it close to opaque
but I find your best bet with this kind of polish is to find a pretty base colour and apply it on top.
One of my favourite polishes at the moment is Bourjois So Lacque in Bleu Fabuleux which is a
bright blue come lilac yet with Aquanet layered on top it transforms into a bright royal blue
with glitter a plenty and almost a night galaxy effect.
I had no problems in terms of application but with all glitter polishes I do suggest dabbing this on
as it helps to dispense and place the glitter.

I bought Aquanet via Etsy - link for around £7 including postage,
the seller is based in America so it does take around 10 days to arrive in the UK.
