MUA's recent addition to their already expansive pro palette collection is a special limited edition medley of metallic eye shadows to mark the 2012 Olympic Games!
The palette is aptly dubbed "Go for Gold" and as you can imagine it runs with a theme of gold, silver
and bronze toned eyeshadows.
As you can see the lay out of the palette is slightly different to that of the previous palettes, gone are the circle pans of product and in is the large squares which I personally prefer as they are easier to use.
You will be pleased to know however that the formula has remained the same, the shades are soft in texture but firm enough to hold there shape when in use, there is little product fall out and overall the eyeshadows
are well pigmented and due to the shade range there should be something for everyone.
Is this a palette you would like to own? Are you a fan of the new format?
You can purchase the Go for Gold *palette from the MUA web store - link
Lovely colours:)

This palette is lovely! Usually i don't like the rounded pans in the MUA eyeshadow palettes which is why i have not yet bought any from them. However, now that the eyeshadows are in square forms i may have to purchase it. The colours are amazing and highly pigmented~ would be great to add to my collection :) Thanks for sharing~X

Looks lovely and different eyeshadows compared to the Heaven and Earth and Undressed palette. Don't like the look of the really orange colour but there's 11 others! xx
ReplyDeleteReally love the look of the square pans. I have Undressed and can't fault it - love the formulation and use it on my brows for infill and as highlighters as well as eyeshadows. Also they are so reasonably priced - although hard to get hold of (in my Superdrug anyway!)

Wow, they look gorgeous! I only own MUA heaven&earth palette, but I think I have to catch this one on ebay as well. Nice idea to market it with the olympics :D
ReplyDeleteI love this!! It sucks i can't seem to get hold of it in any of my local superdrugs :( i need this palette in my life! x
ReplyDeleteThere is just a drawback in the name, why gold pallet if it has silver on it?
ReplyDeleteI liked 1, 3, 7, 8 , 9 probably I could get it for this colors, but for sure not for the silver ones, they are pretty but they are not flattering on me
hard to decide
Oh this is so pretty! I might have to snap it up in Superdrug, though I bet I'll never use it: I don't wear shadow since becoming a full-time lipstick fan!!! Love that bright goldy copper...stunning.

The format of the palkette looks very similar to the NYX Glitter Cream eye shadow palette I think! :) xx
ReplyDeletei love the new format - the square pans are far nicer! not keen on the colours myself /: can't see myself creating a look from this palette alone!xox
ReplyDeleteI have nver bought a MUA palette as I tried a single eyeshadow and didn't rate the pigmentation, but the swatches above look awesome!

Wow, shade 5 is stunning! I'm quite liking the square palettes, is it just me or does it feel like you're getting more product for your money? Admittedly when they were promoting this before they released the name and colours, I was expecting a palette full of bright shades to represent the Olympic rings, and I was quite disappointed with the outcome. Even though the colours are lovely, they're not really branching out into the bright shades just yet, brands like Sleek seem to have the monopoly on that niche. Thanks for the post! x

That rightmost top shade? DANG. I'd buy that in a heartbeat.
