Avon Clearskin Body Wash - Review

The topic I am about to talk about is neither pretty nor sexy but one I’m sure a good few of us have all encountered from time to time! Yep I’m talking about backacne aka acne of the back. Well if like I you suffer from blemishes from time to time on your back you will appreciate the product I am about to review.

As mentioned I often have a breakout of red painful blemishes on my back and shoulder area which can result in me being rather self conscious and not allowing myself to wear the tops that I really want to, well rather than grumble I set to and researched to see if there was any products on the market that helped with such problem and Avon came up trumps with their Clearskin Body Wash which contains a small amount of Salicylic Acid which is a know blemish busting ingredient.

Avon Clearskin Body Wash has a light soft clean fragrance, is thick in consistency, soaps and cleanses well but can be a little drying due to the Salicylic Acid so I strongly recommend only using this on areas of the body that have blemishes and using you regular body cleanser for other areas, fiddly I know but your skin will thank you for it.

I have been using this for just over a month and have found my back and shoulders to be clearer and less prone to break outs. I find this works by drying up the blemishes and aiding them in the speed of the healing process, it also helps to calm the redness of said blemishes and make them less painful to touch. It is not a miracle worker but overall it does help prevent future breakouts from occurring and aids the recovery process of existing blemishes and is worth a try if you too have the odd bout of backacne.

Have you tried anything of this vain?

  1. Omg this sounds like my dream product, I have acne on my back and I'm sick to death of it ruining my self esteem... Might sound like a silly question but how do you actually apply this because I find my back such a pain to get to

    1. Tell me about it :( I just use it on a normal loofah and squeeze the foam over my shoulders :) you can also pop a little in a bath and soak to make things a little easier :)

  2. I don't have this problem (at least for now) but my mother does and really self-conscious about it. I'll try to pick this one up for her.

  3. ooh thanks for reviewing this! I used to use a Lush soap when I got bacne years ago but they've discontinued that now and I've suddenly got a breakout :(
I've also tried a Clinique body spray but that's been disconned too!

  8. Sounds great! I get it on my face quite severely, sometimes my chest and when I was younger my back got it too - TZone do a spray that you spray onto your back, can be tricky to track down but worth a go :-)
